The ManchVegasRollerGirls is the first women's amateur roller derby league in New Hampshire
Mission Statement
The ManchVegas Roller Girls are dedicated to several areas: First and foremost our objective is the empowerment of women; in the way of teaching women how to start, develop, maintain and expand a small business at a grass roots level. Secondly, to promote recreational amateur and professional entertainment that improves member’s individual athletic ability, self-discipline and character while promoting the sport of roller derby. Our goal is to run a safe, fun, professional league that gives New Hampshire women of all ages, shapes, sizes and skill levels a chance to enjoy the sport of roller derby. Our program provides regular supervised training and instruction to prepare our members to represent New Hampshire at National competitions. We will also train and guide all our members to provide community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship. ManchVegas Roller Girls will promote and create goodwill by doing business locally with owner operated enterprises within southern New Hampshire. Finally, we encourage and promote the art and sport of roller derby with the idea of making New Hampshire the hub for all for forms of quad roller skating.
History
Founded in 2007 The ManchVegasRollerGirls, Is New Hampshire's first all girl Roller Derby League. Manchester is the home base of the main team(ManchVegasRollerGirls) & there 1st expansion team is in Antrim (Antrim A-bombers).
Organization
The league is composed of two teams for intra-league play Pandora's Pinups & Stark Raving Loonachicks, and an all-star travel team that competes with other leagues in the surrounding area. The travel team, ManchVegasRollerGirls!, has team colors of Purple and Green. While the league is not yet a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, they strictly play by WFTDA rules.
