Maliek Bennett Maliek Nevoy Bennett was born October 30 1987 from Thornton Heath in Croydon Musical History Maliek Bennett showed an interest in music from an early age he started writing songs in 1995 and started producing beats on the Playstation in 2002 Maliek Bennett was bought up listening to reggae and soul music. He performed at Churches as early as 1996 singing hymns, and gospel music including performing at Fairfield halls in 1999 as part of a choir. He studied Music Technology at college and at university. It wasn't until 2011 when he started performing on a regular basis at open mics , and shows. In 2012 he released his first album Colours on Nevoy records his own inprint, since then he's been releasing material at a high rate. In 2012 Maliek Bennett performed at Brixton's music bar In 2014 he started attending Raw Material In Brixton, and in 2015 he took part in the Amy Winehouse foundation program, he was featured on ID magazine in 2015 and was on BBC radio 4 in 2016. He has worked with other artists including, Numan, Itz Tha Truth, Jeb1, DJ Billski, Lalya Pars, Urban Monk and Sublusive. He also has been a DJ in Brixton, and other areas in London. and has sang at festivals and shows.
