Dham Dev had 40,000 troops before the battle of Khanwa, but because he was no longer a king of a great and large empire, his troops were only around 10,000 there was also shortage of weapons; and because of this, they were defeated in year 1528.<ref name":0" /><ref name":1" /><ref name":2" /><ref name":4" /><ref name":5" /><ref name":6" /><ref name=":3" />

Later his grandsons adopted Islam. But Dham Dev was angry with Babur, he wanted to recapture his kingdom. But years after the Battle of Madarpur, Kam Dev and Babur died and the sons of Kam Dev were not in support of Dham Dev. After Babur, Humayun was made the king. Dham Dev wanted to defeat Humayun. For this he also encouraged Sher Shah Suri against Humayun and given full administrative and logistical support to Sher Shah Suri, he also sent troops to Sher Shah Suri, a short way and place to hide his army for the Battle of Chausa.
