Sikarwar

Sikarwar is a Rajput Clan which draws the name from Sikri town (of Fatehpur Sikri near Agra) & Sikar of Rajasthan, which they established and ruled earlier. Sikarwar are Badgujar Rajputs who have affiliation to Suryavash clan and are now mostly settled in north east Rajasthan, Northern Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in India.
Sikarwar Rajputs formed the frontline of Army of Rana Sanga against Babur forces in the Battle of Khanwa where they faced major blow to the land they once ruled. Survivors of Sikri fort then fled east and south after Battle of Khanwa.
The Sakarwar are a gotra (clan) of Rajputs in India.
