Magic shot

The Magic Shot is a cocktail consisting of a Tequila shot followed by a Jägerbomb chaser.
History and popularity
The Magic Shot was invented in Atlanta, GA in 2004 by a group of friends who met playing ultimate frisbee.
The shot was discovered by accident during the group's valiant quest to acclimate to drinking tequila without "training wheels" (salt and lime). Needless to say, this particular group was of the ideal that tequila in its raw form was not a delicacy, but should be shot straight because of it's macho undertones. After numerous attempts to find the perfect chaser or combination of drinks that would allow for such a crew to shoot tequila straight up, the idea of a Jägerbomb chaser was proposed and promptly tested without protest. The shot soon became a staple in the group's drinking repertoire and has slowly spread across North America.
The Magic Shot was originally named by its inventor as the "Suicide Shot". Immediately after it was first taken, a cross-country call was made to the lone group member not present. Due to an unknown lapse in communication, the story was retold with the name of the shot being "Magic Shot". By the time the error was caught, the new name had caught on thus becoming permanent.
The Magic Shot has grown in popularity mostly due to word of mouth, but suffers in adoption due to high monetary cost.
Preparation and variations
The Magic shot is presented in multiple vessels consisting of the tequila shot and the Jägerbomb . The tequila is shot first and is immediately followed by the Jägerbomb.
The tequila shot should not have any accouterments (e.g. such as salt and lime) and should not be served chilled.
The Jägerbomb can be dropped or poured depending the type of vessel. A pre-mixed Jägerbomb is acceptable.
The Tossed Salad is an extremely rare variation where all components are mixed into one glass. First encountered on St. Patty's Day, 2006 in Atlanta, GA due to a lack of clean dishware.
The Brownie variation is a double shot of Tequila taken in two separate vessels for those physically unable to ingest a Jägerbomb.
