Lynn Loscutoff

Lynn Leon Loscutoff is an American watercolor artist.
Family life and education
Loscutoff attended University of Southern California, Los Angeles. In 1953 she met Jim Loscutoff, then a serviceman stationed at Fort Ord, at a jazz session held by students at Stanford University. The two later married and moved to Revere, Massachusetts when Jim joined the Boston Celtics. In 1956 they had a son. Loscutoff obtained her BA at the Staley College in 1959. In 1980, she attended The Art Institute of Boston in France, and was educated at Montserrat School of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts from 1987-88.
Art career
From 1976 to 1985, Loscutoff was director of The Copley Society of Boston, the nation's oldest fine arts society. In 1979 she led The Society during its celebration of its centennial anniversary.
As a watercolor artist, Loscutoff has had her work featured at exhibits hosted by the North Shore Art Association, American Heart Association, Rocky Neck Art Gallery, Copley Society of Boston, Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, Acacia Gallery, and Cape Ann Artisans. In 1992 she had her own exhibit at the Francis Parkman House in Boston.
Loscutoff works out of a small house in Gloucester, Massachusetts that she converted into a painting studio.
Writing
Loscutoff is the author of three books. Her first book, published in 1996, is titled A Traveler's Guide to Painting in Oils. Her second guide to painting is Art to Go: A Traveler's Guide to Painting in Watercolors, a follow up to her first book. Her third book was published in 2002, and is titled Painters Wild Workshop: 12 Master Artists Help Expand Your Creativity.
