Lynn Alford has been involved with music for over 35 years. He grew up in a family of musicians and singers. He learned to play various musical instruments and began performing professionally as a drummer at the age of 7. He performed with artists such as The Limit, Wild Honey, The Disciples of God and Joe Woods and the Wildwood Express.
Lynn has performed in places such as Germany, England, Spain, France, Turkey, South America and Asia. His music recording career includes albums release credits as artists / performer, record producer, engineer, musician and executive producer. He began writing and recording songs with Michael Rasbury in the 1980s which formed a musical friendship that has spanned over two decades. He has been credited as writer / co-writer on over 100 songs.
In the 1990s, Lynn formed two independent record labels, Barwood Records and Red Horse Records, which were distributed by AMG Entertainment until 2002. Securing a distribution deal for "hard to find" music with Hillous Butrum, Lynn was able to attract and distribute legends such as Mac Wiseman and songs of Merle Kilgore. Hillous introduced Lynn to Shelby Singleton and soon after, Lynn's distribution company was distributing music for Sun Records. He also formed two music publishing companies, Music City Pitch (BMI) and Albury Music Limited (ASCAP), which administered the copyrights of his songs as well as other artists signed by the companies.
In 2000, Lynn joined musical forces with Mark and Phil Lister, owners of Dixiana Music, to form a recording studio, music publisher and record label on Nashville's famous "Music Row" . In 1991, as the driving-force behind the country group Dixiana, Mark and Phil signed a recording contract with SONY/EPIC.
As a Commercial Airline Pilot, Lynn operated aircraft worldwide with over 10,000 flight hours logged as Boeing 737, 757, and 727 Captain.
Lynn now lives with his wife Silvia in Grapevine, Texas. He continues to record albums on the independent record label, Speckbohne Records, and enjoys performing with family and music industry friends.
