Alev lenz

Alev Lenz (born 17th of january 1982) is a german-turkish singer/songwriter.
Career
Alev Lenz started her musical career very early. Piano lessons started at the age of 6, as a teenager she began her classical singin education with her teacher Maria Hohler, which she still works with to this day. Always drawn to stage she experimented with several ways of expressing herself from ballet to acting and finally singing. Doing first studio jobs as a kid, performing first gigs with her school band and then finally getting a Publishing Deal with BMG Music Publishing with the first recordings of her former Band "Alev" in 2001, while also taking the German university entrance qualification and passing it with an A grade, she took her first step into the music business. Several concerts all over Europe and remarkable success in Turkey, two CDs in own production and a third Worldwide Released Record later, Alev took a turn, releazing she hadn't found her musical self yet, left the band and sat back on the piano where she had once began writing her first songs a child.
Starting at zero, Alev realized she had to find herself and her music on stage, while performing and experiencing the music. Unfinished songs in her baggage she left Germany to go to New York City. She stayed for a while, played Open Mikes and her first Concerts as Alev Lenz, went back to Germany to look for the right producer, kept travelling back and forth between New York and Germany until she found the right producer ( ) and studio in Berlin (Audiocue Tonlabor).
Recording her first songs and still travelling to New York City to perform and write more, she got serveral good review from the press that was very interested in the musical turn she had taken. She also appeared on turkish television again, twice in the country's most watch TV show with http://en. .org/wiki/Okan_Bayülgen Okan Bayülgen .
During this time she was also approached my major record companies but was bitterly dissapointed by their lack of passion and unsoundness. After a serious down she got herself up again, recorded the newest songs she had written in New York and made her dreamcome true by mising and mastering in New York City. Not only did Fabulous Fab create the perfect sound or the record, Alev also felt the circle closing in the City that had also given here the title for her first Album: Storytelling Piano Playing Fräulein.
Alev had by this time already decided to start her own record company with her management in cooperation with Groove Attack/Rough Trade who believed in her work.
She named it My Own Record Company. Her debutalbum Storytelling Piano Playing Fräulein was released on February 13th, 2009 and is available in stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and worldwide on iTunes and Amazon.
Alev just started promoting her album and will travel to turkey soon to also promote her record there and tie in with the success she already had in her mother's country.
