Lying - The Root Of All Evils

Lying means to say things that are not true or things that are untruthful.
If a person speaks a lie, he has to speak many more lies to hide it.
But even then, it cannot be hidden. It is exposed some or the other day.
The liar is put to shame and cannot face anybody.
Whereas, when a person tells everything truthfully, he has no fear
about anything. He is confident. So, we must never ever tell a lie.
Lying, is the root of all evils because the thing to be said on the
particular day is not said on that day because of the lie. The liar
feels happy that his lies have been hidden. But after a few days,
the liar has no peace of mind at all. The lie makes him timid and weak
because he is in fear of being exposed. He feels unhappy and guilty
about his lie. People do not trust him.
Truth, on the other hand is a power. An honest person is a happy person.
He has nothing to feel guilty about.
Truth makes a person innocent and bold. He is fearless.
A Small Story For Children On This Topic

lived at a village. They lived by cutting the
wood and selling it. Vijay was a honest person,
but, Vikram was averse to it.
One day, while cutting the wood, Vijay's axe
slipped and fell into the river from his hands.
He prayed to the goddess of the river and she came
up before him. She asked him politely, " What do you
want,my boy ?"
Vijay said" Your Highness, I have lost my axe in the
river. It has slipped from my hands while I was
cutting wood. Will you please give it back to me ?
