Lunch Box Boys

The Lunch Box Boys are a New Zealand band. Formed in 2006 in Lower Hutt, the group comprises Keyboard player Deakin Palmer, Vocalist/Guitarist Marco Vinten, Vocalist/Keyboardist/Rhythm Guitarist Chris Hurn, Keyboardist/Sax player Andy Bruce, Drummer Andy Russell and Bassist Leon Philipsen. Their style of music is reminiscent of music from the 50's, 60's and 70's and features clever instrumentation, catchy hooks and crafty songwriting. In early 2007 band members Deakin Palmer and Marco Vinten won the New Zealand songwriting competition Play it Strange which landed them a music video on popular New Zealand TV show C4. The Lunch Box boys are currently working on their first album which will be available sometime in 2008. |
