Elad "Romano" Manor (born May 23, 1985) is an Israeli musician best known for his work as the bassist for internationally successful death/thrash metal band The Fading<ref name="TheFadingMember"/> and former bassist for extreme power metal band Acropolis<ref name="AcropolisMember"/>, and melodic death metal act Solitary. Biography Elad Manor formed Acropolis as guitarist along with fellow guitarist Daniel Varfolomeyev and drummer Amir Shaham, under the name Area 51. While Daniel also served as the band's vocalist, Ran Buldor also joined the band as a bassist, but was soon enlisted in the army, so Elad switched from guitar to bass, leaving Daniel the only guitarist. In March 2002 the three founding members of the band auditioned members for a new line-up, including a new guitarist, instead of Elad who switched to bass. With the new line-up, the band recorded a 3 song demo, under a new name - Acropolis. The band started to gain attention but was disbanded before the end of 2003 because of the army enlisting of some members, and personal reasons, including Elad's, who started playing with death metal act The Fading at the time, before returning with Daniel to Acropolis in 2005 with a completely new line-up, including Shaked Furman of The Fading as a drummer and new vocalist Yochai Davidoff. In 2006, Elad recorded a demo album with The Fading entitled Instruction for Self Destruction, followed by a full promo EP Chaos in Flesh in 2007. Since then, the band had won the Wacken Metal Battle competition in Israel (beating Acropolis in which Manor and Shaked Furman are also members) and had won the Wacken Metal Battle at the 2008 Wacken Open Air festival. Since then, the new line-up of Acropolis recorded some singles and a full EP entitled The Aftermath which was released on October 13, 2008 in a special launch show with thrash metal band Abrage and Elad's former melodic death metal outfit Solitary. In March 2009, Manor has announced he will be leaving Acropolis, to put all of his time into The Fading where he is also active. His last show with Acropolis was on March 8, 2009, in Jerusalem, where the band played along with such bands as Pray for Nothing, Abrage and Phantom Pain.
