Luna Aeterna is a Russian Metal band. Their genre can be specified as Gothic Metal or Symphonic Metal, influenced by such bands as Nightwish, Within Temptation and Xandria. The lyrics are written in Russian, English and Romanian, referring to the legend of Dracula. Biography In June, 2001 Michael Kalmykov and Lia founded a band, intending to play Gothic Metal. Later Alexander Salnikov (guitar) joined them. Their band was called Fullmoon which expressed the mystical and romantic mood of their music and lyrics. The band started writting music but due to the inner variances it split up. In Summer, 2003 the band reunited. Lia, Michael. Alexander along with their new bass guitarist Rodion Galimzjanov recorded their first demo V tvijih rukah (In Your Hands) in a studio called 'Dva barabanshchika' (the Two Drummers). Then the band decided they can not go on with Lia. After two months of searching a new singer the band was joined by Olga Salihova. Denis Matujzo began the drummer. They held their first performance on the 3rd February in the 'U-tu' club, and their first official show took place in the 'Relax' club. During the Atumn, 2005 the band changed it's name for Luna Aeterna cause the band called Fullmoon already existed. Then their first album, Tajna (Mystery) was recorded in the studio 'Daj' which eas previously used by Catharsis and Forgive-Me-Not. ...
