In 2019, the company entered a partnership with the health care software company Epic Systems. Later the same year Luma Health initiated electronic health record integration with Athenahealth’s marketplace and Nextech Systems. Overall, Luma Health works with over 300 healthcare organizations across the U.S., including 70 electronic health record and practice management systems such as Allscripts, Centricity, CareCloud, eClinicalWorks and Meditech Greenfield. Healthcare platform The crux of Luma's platform is enhanced communication between patient and doctor, and facilitating patient compliance in both medication and office visits through reminders, both via text messaging. Being based on text messaging, the platform functions better than either telephony or email in rural areas with infrastructure deficits, but which are still served by reliable cell phone networks. |
