Luke Patel

Luke Adam Patel (born 6 October 1990) is an English cricketer. Patel is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire and was educated at Outwood Grange Academy until the age of 18 when he then attended Durham University. In his seven first-class matches, he scored 167 runs at an average of 13.91, with a high score of 32. With the ball, he took three wickets which came at an overall cost of 271 runs.
Charity Fundraising
On 22 April 2018, Patel completed the 2018 London Marathon, wearing bib number 34001. This was the 38th annual London Marathon (currently known through sponsorship as the Virgin Money London Marathon) to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK.
(ARUK) is the United Kingdom's leading dementia research charity.
He choose that charity as his grandfather former Wakefield Trinity rugby league player Keith Holliday suffered and later died from the disease in 2017. He raised over £3,000 for the charity.
Genealogical Information
He is the Grandson of Wakefield Trinity rugby league football club legend Keith Holliday and nephew of former Wakefield Trinity player Barry Holliday.
