Luke K. Cooperrider

Luke K. Cooperrider (born 1918) is a professor emeritus at the University of Michigan Law School.
Career
Cooperrider is an Ohio native. Cooperrider earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard College and his J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School in 1948. Described as "a dedicated teacher," Cooperrider "devoted much of his time during the last years of his active career on the faculty to directing and significantly strengthening the school's vitality important writing and advocacy program.<ref name="Memoir"/>
Cooperrider was actively involved in a number of Law School and University committees, including the law school Curriculum Committee, the Law Review Advisory Board, and the University Senate.<ref name="History"/> Cooperrrider "served as chairman of the Board of Control of Student Publications during the troubled years of the late 1960s and early 1970s."<ref name="History"/>
Cooperrider retired and assumed emeritus status on May 31, 1983, after 30 years at the Law School.<ref name="Memoir"/>
