Luke Duval Vu is a self-taught fashion, beauty, and celebrity photographer. In an interview with NHA Magazine, they describe "his photographs are stylized, edgy, and avant-garde, with images that captures mood and sensuality, while telling stories with the revelatory power of beauty." Biography After high school, he attended UCLA and graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry and later a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western University of Health Sciences. He was on his way with a career as a pharmacist, but all that changed with one strange dream. The next morning he decided to pursue photography despite his lack of knowledge of the field. He taught himself photography and studied lighting from fashion magazines. Career His photography career started in 2004 with the purchase of his first camera. In 2006, he received the Pilsner Urquell International Photography Award for Nonprofessional Photographer of the Year in the category Advertising, with first places in the subcategories Fashion, and Beauty. In 2007, he got his first major break in the fashion photography world when he won the 10th Annual Avant Guardian Award from Surface. He has photographed celebrities like Penn Badgley, Audrina Patridge, Jody Watley, and Carnie Wilson..
