Lucie Lebaz is an international freelance designer working in London and Paris. Lebaz is a prominent example of migratory graphic designers, a group whose work has resulted in the globalisation of the previously segmented graphic design industry. Lebaz was born on 16 May 1983 in Aubervilliers, France. She studied visual communication at the École de Communication Visuelle in Paris and at the Université Laval, graduating in 2005. Following a traineeship in London, in September 2005 Lebaz’s distinctive designs were recognised and she was recruited to blue chip agencies and international consultancies in London such as Landor Associates, Interbrand and The Brand Union. She then worked full time at Creative Leap, where she saw her skills developed through corporate identity and branding for the beverage and pharmaceutical industries (Chivas Music festival). In February 2007, Lebaz joined the renowned 2D Design Team at Fitch Live where she worked on launch material and branding for prestigious corporate events. She designed full identities for projects like Stream and Speaker Idol for Microsoft UK. Lebaz has since begun working on a freelance basis, founding her own studio, . She has since worked for a range of clients on retail, print and digital design projects. Her most recent work was the widely fêted Crystallized Swarovski Christmas campaign 2008, which was carried out in conjunction with Yes Please, the event agency.
