Lucas Menz

Lucas Menz (born October 29, 1990 in Frankfurt, Germany) is a goalkeeper currently playing for Ebbsfleet United F.C. in the Conference National.
Career
Youth
Menz grew up in Germany and quickly established himself in Canada joining the Roman Tulis European Soccer School of Excellence where he trained throughout his youth. He continued to play club football with Vancouver youth club North Shore Selects while attending the soccer academy.
College
Lucas joined the Quest Kermodes from 2008 to 2011 becoming one of the key members of the squad. Menz picked up numerous awards throughout his college career and is arguably the biggest prospect to come out of the program at Quest.
Professional
Menz was a member of the Abbotsford Mariners in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, he joined the Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 squad after a strong showing in the previous season in the USL Premier Development League.
Following various trials in England, Menz signed with Ebbsfleet United F.C. of the Conference National in August 2012.
Personal
Born in Germany, Menz moved to North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at an early age. He holds three passports; German, Canadian and English. His mother is German, and his father is English. Graduated from Handsworth Secondary School in 2008.
