Lucan Valerius

Lucan Valerius is most commonly known by his part during the Main Quest: 'The Golden Claw' in the award winning RPG; The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Lucan is located in the small town of Riverwood , he also owns a shop called 'The Riverwood Trader' which, by speaking to him, allows the player to select the option of accepting 'The Golden Claw' quest. There is also another NPC in the shop; 'Camilla Valerius' who is the sister of Lucan Valerius - she is also a key character in the quest, when accepting the quest Camilla will guide the player to the edge of Riverwood on a bridge leading to 'Bleak Falls Barrow.' - The location of the Golden Claw itself.
Quest Line
Lucan Valerius explains to the player about his family heirloom; The Golden Claw, which had been stolen from The Riverwood Trader by a group of thieves, one of which was Arvel the Swift. After accepting The Golden Claw quest, the player must follow Camilla Valerius to the bridge at the end of Riverwood . Following the path through the mountains, the road leads to the ancient nordic tomb called 'Bleak Falls Barrow.' Whilst pursuing 'The Golden Claw' the player also acquires the opportunity to begin another quest called 'Bleak Falls Barrow.' When entering upon Bleak Falls Barrow, the player comes into contact with Frostbite Spiders, thieves and Draugrs. After slaying a large Frostbite Spider, the player comes to find Arvel The Swift beckoning them trapped in a cobweb. The Golden Claw is carried on Arvel The Swift and he explains in detail how it is the key to an ancient nordic puzzle door and, invalidly, links to a room full of gold. After setting Arvel The Swift free he runs away from the player with the claw. The player can kill Arvel The Swift and steal the claw from him, completing The Golden Claw, the player also has the option of completing Bleak Falls Barrow and unlocking the Nordic Puzzle Door which leads to a room holding the Dragon Shout 'Unrelenting Force.' When learning the shout, a Draugr will wake up and attack the player on site. Returning the claw to Lucan Valerius will award the player with gold depending on their level.
Additional Information
Once the Golden Claw quest is completed, Lucan Valerius allows the player to freely take any low-value item in the shop without adding bounty.
