AdventureQuest Storyline

The storyline of AdventureQuest is a long and ongoing series of smaller storylines, formed together to recognize the main plot (as of 2007.)

The Beginning
The Undead War
The game originally started with the Mysterious Necromancer launching an attack on Battleon with an army of undead. This would be the starter in a very long chain of events over a period of 4 years which would lead to the current time of the game.

The Dragon Wars - Part 1: Akriloth
Akriloth, the great dragon of the fire element perches himself atop a volcano, and sends a small army to attack Battleon. However, once the army is defeated, along with Akriloth, Akriloth tells the player that he attacked because a dragon named Drakath stole his Prime Fire Orb, the source of his power. Akriloth tells the player that if they retrieve it from Drakath, they would recieve the greatest fire weapon ever made.

The Dragon Wars - Part 2: Drakath

Drakath, using the fire orb, attempts to make all monsters of the darkness realm invincible, while the fire realm weakens as the orb is away from Akriloth. Drakath, already possessing the Prime Darkness Orb, was much stronger than Akriloth, but when the player is sent to kill Drakath, Twilly the moglin arrives with the Dragon Blade, which triggers and allows the player to slay Drakath with relative ease. The Prime Fire Orb is retrieved by the player, and the Prime Dark Orb is taken to the last remaining Guardian Tower in Battleon. The Mysterious Necromancer arrived on the scene at the last minute, and re-animated Drakath's body as a Dracolich. Drakath, in his dracolich form, is now mindless and violent, and controls a mass of undead forces which attacks the countryside. With the help of Paladin Artix Krieger, he is defeated once more, and laid to rest.

The Dragon Wars - Part 3: The Fire Dragon War
Akriloth tricks you, and swallows the Prime Fire Orb, indeed becoming the greatest fire weapon ever. He proceeds to try to take over Lore, sending his army of fire monsters to kill all mankind. To defeat him, the people required the Ice Scythe, which was in the possession of a greedy Ice Demon. Unfortunately, once the demon is defeated, he feels he is the only one who deserves the scythe, and so he smashes it on the ground before he dies.

Thankfully, Yulgar the blacksmith and owner of the Battleon Inn forges the remaining shards of the scythe into the Frozen Claymore, a giant blade of Ice. Using the claymore, Akriloth and his army are both defeated, but with Akriloth's demise, the Prime Fire Orb explodes and the elemental forces become unbalanced. Nefaria, a fire spirit, gives the player the egg of one of Akriloth's children to keep the elemental forces in relative balance. The Mysterious Necromancer shows himself once more, now asking the player very whimsically whether or not Akriloth left a corpse, for use in his next army. When he learns that Akriloth turned to ashes, he merely walks off, supposedly collecting the ashes and calling the player a Dragonslayer.

The Great Fire War

To the Aid of Ashenvale
During peacetime after Akriloth's death, the small village of Ashenvale near Battleon is attacked by a small force of fire monsters. However, it is saved before it completely crumbles. Rumors of the leader of the forces surfaces, and his name is Drakonnan. Akriloth killed his family and his brother, driving him mad. Drakonnan collected the shards of the Prime Fire Orb, and now seeks a skewed form of revenge against mankind.

Slaying of the Fire Dragon
Another army of fire monsters is sent to attack another neighbouring village, Moonra. A great fire dragon is killed along the way, and Drakonnan apparently becomes frightened and retreats. In order to prevent him from fighting back, the forces of Battleon searched for the Flame Guardian armor to resist his attacks better. The Flame Guardian armor, forged by one of Yulgar's ancestors, absorbs fire as it is hit, becoming stronger as it is attacked.

While they are gone though, Drakonnan, who was merely amassing his forces into a larger group, launches another attack on the eastern hills, lead by a small force of Plasma Dragons Drakonnan forced to the surface, causing a massive fissure with static energy flowing from it to appear in the eastern hills.

The Assault on Battleon
The plasma dragon is killed, but as the player returns to Battleon, it is revealed to be in flames. Drakonnan launched an attack on Battleon as well, with the Plasma Dragons merely being a diversion. It is too late to save the town, and Demento, Galanoth's brother is killed during this battle by Varax. The forces are faught back, and Varax is killed. Drakonnan becomes angry, and takes Galanoth and many of his allies are taken hostage, then retreats back to his volcanic fortress in Smoke Mountain, Akriloth's old home.

The Ice Katana
Yulgar tells the player of the Ice Katana, a magic weapon which controls powers of ice and is able to even freeze monsters solid. Believing it can be forged from ice crystals in the far north near IceFall, the player journeys north to gather the crystals. The quest to gather the crystals was the first walk-around quest in the game. Eventually the katana is forged, and the final attack is launched on Drakonnan's volcanic fortress.

===Going on the Offensive!===
The final battle begins, and the army of Battleon begins to attack Drakonnan's forces around Smoke Mountain. 2 million fire monsters were defending him, and Artix von Krieger had been kidnapped by Drakonnan and transformed into a powerful evil Shadowfire Knight. The army of Battleon journeys into the surrounding caves and warzones around the volcanic fortress, flushing out and killing off any of Drakonnan's minions.

Eventually, Evil Artix confronts the player confronts outside Drakonnan's volcanic fortress, and attempts to kill the player. He is defeated, and reverts back to normal with some injuries.

Assault on Drakonnan's Volcanic Fortress
Zorbak, a Moglin necromancer who wishes to help the player, accompanies you into the fortress in the second walk-around quest. The player frees Galanoth, Smbdoll, and others from their holding cells as they go. Twig the moglin is met halfway through the dungeon to heal the player, and would return with the player to Battleon's ruins after the war ended. After de-activating the mega fire orbs powering the fortress, the treasury is unlocked, and the Ice Katana is freed.

Entering Drakonnan's throne room, the player defeats Drakonnan using the Ice Katana, and Drakonnan falls into a pit of Lava along with his throne. The victory is short lived, however. Zorbak came with the player because Drakonnan had his chair, and attempts to bargain with the dying Drakonnan to get it back. Unfortunately, he bargains with a mega fire orb, and Drakonnan eats it in a last ditch effort to survive. He transforms into UltraDrakonnan, a giant flaming demonic version of himself, and challenges the player one last time. Zorbak and the player kill him, and Zorbak opts to take his helmet as a chair instead. Players could buy Great Fire War t-shirts online to celebrate the victory.

The Dracomancers

===Dragons!===
During peacetime after the fall of Drakonnan, a large force of dragons ravages the countryside. Galanoth, now an accomplished dragonslayer, rushes with his Order to exterminate them, but as they begin to retreat, Galanoth and his apprentice Zero-Hex are attacked. Zero-Hex escapes, but Galanoth is overpowered and taken away.

Galanoth vs. Cyrus
The dragons are followed, but it is merely a trap. As the player fights the army of dragons in the Dragonspine mountains, deep underground Galanoth is argueing with Lord Cyrus, high khan of the Dracomancers. Galanoth, in a fit of rage, attempts to cut him down, but the dragon blade is knocked from his hands. Galanoth attempts to use the Fire Dragon to attack Cyrus, but Cyrus persuades the dragon over to his side, and it badly burns Galanoth. The army of Battleon defeats the dragon army in the mountains, but has to return to Battleon to regroup, leaving Galanoth to Cyrus.

Zero-Hex the Traitor

The player, back in Battleon, is alone outside wondering what the recent events have meant. Suddenly, Battleon is attacked by dragons again. The player fights their way through 8 battles with different dragons, only to have Zero-Hex walk over to stand beside Cyrus. Questioning his motives, Zero-Hex says that Cyrus saved him when he was training in the Dragonspine mountains with Galanoth, and became lost. Cyrus tells the player that the Dracomancers, persecuted for centuries, are back, and stronger than ever. Zero-Hex defends Cyrus, but is killed for his treason. Cyrus, now eager to fight, transforms into a half-dragon monster and attacks. Once defeated, he sets Galanoth free and orders a truce between them on the grounds that no innocent member of their order, or dragonkind, be harmed without initial provocation.

The Carnax Saga: Present
The Drakel Raid

As the Dracomancer war comes to an end, news arrives from Stonerule. The Drakel, a cross between humans and dragons, begin to emerge from their domed cities and attack. Hundreds of years ago, a great and terrible enemy forced them into hiding, but now they are leaving to try and find something to prevent the enemy from returning. They have arrived at Stonerule, and are attacking it and pillaging it for unknown reasons. As they are fought off, the ruins begin to shake, and a strange clock-like device emerges from the ground. Tathlin, Valencia, and Robina investigate it, and some Azru gems the Drakel tried to take are given out to the player. Unsure of what the monolith does, the player chases the Drakel back to their domed city. Commander Kragg, a high military leader of the Drakel, is questioned on it and is then thrown into the Pit by Valencia and Galanoth.

The Prophet Arrives
After returning to the Monolith, the player encounters alot of undead, as well as the Reaper. The Reaper has apparently arrived early, and will return to "clean up" once something happens very soon.

The ruins are still shaking, and the magical monolith is now glowing. The player travels there and meets Riona Shadowgale, a prophet claiming to be a survivor of the Talados civilization, who were rumored to have been destroyed long ago by a great cataclysm. She tells of how a secret guild of sorcerors planned to control the lands with a creature of great power, but soon it grew far out of their control, creating the beast known as Carnax - in common language, "Great Scourge".

Riona attempts to explain, but for unknown reasons the Grim Reaper appears and approaches her. The player fights off the Reaper, and Riona tells the player of the rock which Talados rested on that sunk into the sea when Carnax destroyed it. The rock may have the power to destroy Carnax. Riona promises to explain more later, and runs off.

The Prophet's Son

Weeks pass. Moon Called, a guardian in the Battleon Tower, tells the player to head to Mount Furrowald to speak with a person in a red cloak. Riona had said she would send someone for the player, which sends the player to the mountain. There, Riona tells that Carnax was weakened by the ore deposits in Talados when it began to sink. The Drakel had unearthed some of these stones, and Riona plans to use them against Carnax.

She introduces her son, Danail, to the player, and shortly after Zorbak appears. He summons a small group of undead, and after they are defeated it is revealed that the reaper has a bounty on Riona - and in fact, all of the surviving Taladosians - because they should all be dead already. Their children are not natives of Talados, however, and so are not targeted by the Reaper. Danail, feeling uneasy, asks if he and Riona can leave. As they walk off, the player remembers that Danail had a very strange look in his eyes.

Soon, Danail is left alone in Riona's makeshift home on Mount Furrowald. Carnax, using Danail's fear of him from Riona's stories, speaks to Danail, and takes hold using his mind. The scene switches back to Riona, talking to the player, telling that the monolith is called a Focus Nodule. It was keeping Carnax at bay, but now with Danail's mind to anchor himself with, the nodule is not enough. Riona, now crying, fears for Danail's safety, and runs back to the mountain to get him. The Reaper emerges again, and the player has to protect Riona by fighting his undead off.

Carnax Rises
The Focus Nodule is now glowing and shaking faster and faster. The player senses that something is going to happen soon. Riona, now back at the Nodule with Danail, is comforting him. The Focus Nodule explodes, and strange tentacles emerge from the ground. Once they are defeated, Carnax rises from the ground and attacks. The player has to fight several battles against the body parts of Carnax, and then once he's half dead, Jackel Sano and Warlic create an ice path to fight the upper body of Carnax.

Once the players depleted his 275,000,000 HP, the player would fight a boss battle against Carnax's head. Carnax is then weak enough to die, and Riona tells her son that she'll be back very soon. Riona runs towards Carnax, and uses the Azru Gems to fire a blast of energy at Carnax. The power this requires kills Riona, as well as Carnax, and Carnax falls to the ground. He says he is now free, and then closes his eyes and turns to stone.

The Prophet Returns
The player approaches the body of Carnax, and sees a ghostly figure on top of it. It is the ghost of Riona, and she asks the player to die, so that the player may save her from Death's Domain. Death will let the player free because they are early, and so the player has to lose a battle against a Stone Golem. Then, death will allow the player to search the area for Riona, giving vague clues as to wear she is. After searching the portals, Riona is found, and tells the player that to prevent Carnax from regenerating, they must defeat him in the hourglass of Kerylon. After finding the hourglass, the player fights a battle against Carnax's ghost, and once he is defeated, Carnax is sealed in the Azru stones. Riona is then freed, now in a light blue outfit, back in the realm of the living, and is reunited with Danail, concluding the present day Carnax Saga.

The Carnax Saga: Future
The Portal

Months after Riona's revival, a Portal opens in Battleon. The player enters, but when they come out, Battleon is gone. The player searches for others, and eventually fights a battle against an unseen enemy inside a portal. Confused, the player explores more and fights strange floating Drones. After the battle is won, the player has a flashback to Warlic talking to someone in the inn about portals. Soon it is realised that someone is trying to create portals through time, and the player fights another Drone. Then a portal opens, and they are sucked through. A strange floating creature tells the player things backwards, then the player is dumped in a strange place filled with scrap metal and robot parts.

There the player meets Maxwell and Morgan, and it is revealed that the player is now in the future. After leaving the strange place, Maxwell and Morgan accompany the player out, and the player fights a boss battle against a Junkbot. Maxwell, Morgan, and the player head to find a portal back to present day Battleon.

Spawn of Carnax
Upon returning to present-day Battleon, the player finds that many monsters resembling Carnax have begun appearing and attacking all over the world in the regions of Battleon, StormFallen, and Lolosia.

Jessica Maxwell, an assassin from the future and Maxwell's half sister, Hollow Stoneforge, a descendent of Yulgar and cybernetic engineer, a Drone named 262, and the strange floating creature (now revealed to be called Cor-Demi) have come through to present day Battleon as well, and could be enlisted to help the player fight the spawn.

After 2,000,000 spawn of Carnax are killed, the player ended up in StormFallen, and fought a boss battle against a C-Rex. Once the C-Rex is defeated, a portal opens to the Future, and the group jumps in.

The Hatch
The player is taken to the Hatch, the meeting place of the Order of Alpha, lead by Maxwell. There the player meets Anna Darkstone, a descendant of Riona Shadowgale who shares Riona's prophetic visions. Anna wears an amulet, which appears to be an old Azru stone, probably an heirloom handed down by Riona.

There it is learned that, in the future, the sorceror who created Carnax had travelled through time, and had learned much of the technology of the future. Using samples and DNA, the sorceror had created his own horde of Carnax spawn, sending them to the past. Now, in the future, he had created even more of them, using cybernetic technology to increase their power. The sorceror's name is Makkisar. Makkisar had been enslaved by Truth, a character who the player meets during random battles. Truth is an Annanuki, or Faceless, who's motives are unknown. Makkisar killed Anna's parents, and Maxwell took her in. There Anna had visions of what would happen, and that is what caused Maxwell and Morgan to head to a portal with some of Hollow's drones.

There, plans are made to kill Makkisar, ending the war in the Future and allowing time to continue properly. As the plans finish, Makkisar unleashes his latest creations.

The Last Stand
Anna senses someone coming, and Makkisar emerges to the player. He summons Carnax using futuristic technology, effectively resurrecting him. However, Anna manages to speak with Carnax, telling him how he lived on using the memories of all descendents of the Taladosians. Anna tells Carnax that he has free will, and that the one who made him such a monster - Makkisar - had no right to control him. Carnax then commits suicide by dividing his soul between all of the amulets of all the Taladosians around the world - effectively splitting him apart. Makkisar, now without a way to ever ressurect Carnax, unleashes his monsters.

Players fight a war to kill all the future Carnax spawn, fighting through the polluted waters, junkyards, and ruined cities. Eventually they are led to Makkisar, standing atop the ruined Calidon building. Anna says that Makkisar looks different, and the camera zooms in to reveal that a cloaked figure is standing there. The figure, Truth, was seen earlier by the player if the player fought random battles before entering the portal. It is then realised that Truth was the one who caused the entire series of events by first corrupting Makkisar, creating Carnax, and then heading to the future and telling the player to head through the Portal. Truth then fades away, leaving Makkisar where he was. Makkisar, fueled by Truth, attacks the player out of anger, screaming about how he will not be beaten.

Once Makkisar's HP is depleted, a cutscene triggers where Makkisar makes a final attempt to live, drinking the Carnax DNA sample, and turning into a human-Carnax hybrid and ascending further up the flaming building. Maxwell then appears in an Assault Mecha, one of Hollow's latest creations, and lets the player ride up to the top of the building with him. Maxwell then fights alongside the player against the transformed Makkisar. Once Makkisar dies, Maxwell lets the player ride his Assault Mecha out the time portal, and the player is returned to present time, ending the future war. Truth leaves Makkisar's body, and searches for a new host.

The Nightbane Chronicles

The Journey to Darkovia Forest
A group of dragons attack Battleon, lead by a strange mythical beast - a Were-Dragon. With the help of Galanoth and Vampire Slayer E, the dragon is dispatched, but Galanoth and Cyrus both wonder about what could have created the beast. E tells them that only one creature could have created such a thing - the legendary Dracopyre Nightbane. E then takes the player, Galanoth, and Cyrus to Darkovia.

The group arrives, and notices from a distance that Safiria and the Were-King are speaking to a strange looking figure, who E determines to be Nightbane. Nightbane is planning to take over the abandoned castle on a mountain in Darkrovia, but the two ruling subraces do not wish for another race intruding on their kingdoms. The Were-King attempts to fight Nightbane, but Wolfwing interrupts and argues with Nightbane for mis-using the gift of his race by drinking dragon blood to become a DracoPyre. Wolfwing then battles Nightbane across Dracm Bridge, eventually being blown away by a dragon breath attack from Nightbane.

The Darklaw
Zorbak approaches the group, telling the player that he wishes to help them for once, presumably for his own safety. He speaks of the one weapon powerful enough to kill Nightbane - the Darklaw. It is located in the very center of the Darkrovia marshes. Battling their way down from Dracm mountain and into the marshes, a small group headed by Artix, E, and Zorbak is lead into the marshes.

NightBane, knowing of the power of the Darklaw, sends his favorite minion to kill anyone who would try to get it. A giant beast that appears to be part dragon, vampire, and even werewolf called a NightRaider attacks the player. Monarch the Nightraider is defeated, and the Darklaw is pulled from the ground. With the darklaw in their possession, the group is lead back to Dracm bridge by E.

Working Together
Safiria and the Were-King have lost sight of Nightbane and Wolfwing. Nightbane eventually descends, landing infront of the two. They ask about Wolfwing, but Nightbane waves it off, rather absent-mindedly saying that Wolfwing is now dead. Nightbane gives the two rulers two choices - have them and their entire kingdoms converted to dracopyres, or die. Safiria tells Nightbane to return in one day for their answer.

Safiria's messenger, Phelicia, returns, saying that she was unable to stop the group from getting the Darklaw. Safiria, saying that if Wolfwing was defeated, then it may be a good thing that they managed to retrieve the Darklaw, and sends Phelicia away. Safiria and the Were-King discuss their plans, but are confronted by the group as they return. She explains the situation, telling of how Nightbane was the favored son of Wolfwing, who comitted a crime by drinking dragon blood, shunning his kind. He came to Darkrovia years ago and converted some of each of their race, biting her vampire bats first and turning them into Nightraiders. The Nightraiders then bit the vampire and werewolf soldiers, converting them as well. The group then forms a temporary alliance with Safiria and the Were-King to try and defeat Nightbane, and they launch an attack on Dracm Castle.

Nightbane's Escape
Fighting their way through, Safiria and the player confront Nightbane in his throne room. They attack Nightbane with the Darklaw, and Nightbane flees to try and tend to his wounds. The player can explore part of Nightbane's castle to try and search for him.

The player finds Nightbane, drinking blood from two of his Were-Dragons, now completely enraged. Nightbane attacks the player, but is wounded again. Nightbane then smashes a window and jumps out, landing far below the Castle. E gives chase, but once he gets to where he saw Nightbane land, Nightbane is already gone.

The player can also choose to search the other area of the castle, where the player then meets Epheel, a strange spider-like creature who claims to be in the castle searching for Nightbane to give him a gift. He instead gives the gift to the player, telling how it will one day glow, signalling that an agent of the Devourer is in Lore. Epheel tells the player that they must kill this agent, and then leaves.

Epheel and Nightbane
Nightbane, now running from his enemies, stops in an open area down in the swamps. Nightbane calls out for Epheel, and Epheel approaches Nightbane. Nightbane angrily threatens Epheel for making him fake his injury and leave his castle. Epheel then calmly assures Nightbane that he would never have been able to control as much as he liked with everyone united against him. Epheel then promises Nightbane an alliance, which will grant him far more power than he could have ever imagined. Nightbane gladly accepts the offer.

The camera then switches to Wolfwing, lying unconscious and battered against a dead tree. Wolfwing's eyes open, and the camera fades.

Nightbane's Past

The group seperates temporarily to prepare for Nightbane's eventual return, but E stays behind in Dracm Castle. The player can enter the castle and speak with E, who will then explore the castle with the player. The player fights several battles against the lingering dracopyres wandering the castle, and eventually finds a note in the hands of a statue in one of the hallways.

The note, addressed to someone named Balius, is from Balius' apparent lover, Lady Evena. Saying how he became a monster, the note tells how Lady Evena has left Balius, and gone to Felrood Abbey. The player and E then leave Dracm castle, after being ambushed by Nightbane's forces on their way out.

Arriving at Felrood Abbey, it appears to be empty, but the player is attacked by Nightbane. Once defeated, Nightbane reverts to a young girl named Cenara. Cenara explains that her mother had taken her to the abbey when she was very young, and she tought her how to mimic the form of Nightbane to protect the abbey. But Nightbane, who is revealed to have been Balius, came to the abbey recently and kidnapped Lady Evena in the night. Cenara tells the player to return if Nightbane is found again.

Rise of the Frost Kingdom

The Ice Clawg Raid
Frostval starts, and gift boxes are delivered to Battleon. As the boxes arrive, during the celebration all the Frostvale moglins are kidnapped. Rumors are heard that Sandy Claws is leading the Clawgs. But as the war is fought, the Ice Clawg leader Bliksem reveals himself. Bliksem reveals that he is after the Ice orb fragment in the basement of the Guardian tower, but does not tell why. Bliksem then attacks the player, and is defeated, but as Bliksem retreats news is sent from Frostvale that the moglins who make the gifts have been attacked. The player takes the ice orb fragment and keeps it with them.

The Jotun Raid
The tribe of the Jotun, a nomadic tribe of many races who have been shunned by their families who are completely loyal to the ice realm, have launched a raid on Frostvale. The player heads to Frostvale in time to save the Moglins, and fights their way to the leader of the group - an ice minotaur named Donder. Donder also reveals that he is after an Ice Orb fragment located in Frostvale. Donder holds the moglins hostage, and attacks the player. Donder is beaten, but after his defeat the player realises that Donder was a distraction, and the moglins have been taken away. Another piece of the ice orb is left behind, and the player is allowed to keep this as well.

Welcome to IceFall
Rumors reach the frontlines. The player hears that Frosty the Snow Golem and Sandy Claws have taken the moglins hostage in a kingdom far to the North called IceFall, home of the Jotun. They are heading towards the bridge leading to Frost Castle. The player fights their way through the hordes of ice monsters, and confronts Sandy and Frosty infront of the cavern leading to the bridge. They are defeated, and Sandy and Frosty flee towards Frost Castle, leaving behind their two fragments of the ice orb. The player then escorts the moglins back to Frostvale.

Jack Frost Attacks
As the player heads back to Frostvale, a large snow storm starts up and they are stopped as they approach the village. Jack Frost, prince of IceFall, as well as an army of Frost Generals, Troopers, and beasts of IceFall, have amassed to prevent the player from going further. The player, now holding the fragments of the ice orb, is a major target of the kingdom. Jack desires the pieces of the orb for reasons he refuses to share, and attacks the player and Battleon's forces. Jack is pushed back to the cavern entrance, but challenges the player to a fight. After the battle, Jack tells the player that a spy of his learned of the player possessing fragments of the ice orb, and Zorbak appears by his side.

Jack steals the fragments and uses his power to fuse them and form the Prime Ice Orb, and the player learns that using the power of the Ice Orb, his father plans to turn the entire world of Lore into endless winter so that IceFall may rule the world and have vegeance on those who shunned its denizens. Jack and the remnants of his army retreat to IceFall, and the player chases after him.

Raid on Frost Castle

As Jack is chased back to IceFall, the entire force of the kingdom is sent out to protect him. Adding to the already powerful army Jack assembled, a war begins just outside the castle. Once all the forces have been defeated, the player attempts to enter the castle and is confronted by King Frost. He sends Bliksem and Donder to attack the player, then Frosty and Sandy. The player fights them, forcing their way into the throne room where Jack attacks the player again. The player discovers that a small piece of the ice orb fragments still remains with them, and it has become a magical essence.

From the essence, the player can summon the Blade of Peace, a powerful greatsword with incredible strength against the members and servants of the Frost Family. The player attacks Jack with the blade, heavily wounding Jack. Jack dissapears after the battle, apparently escaping from Frost Castle with his life intact. The player finally faces King Frost head on, and King Frost attacks. After a difficult battle he is hit with a devestating wound from the Blade of Peace and is left for dead. However, Zorbak shows up and turns traitor against IceFall by stealing the Ice Orb for himself and running off to prevent the gifts from being delivered.

The Celebration
Time is running out when the player returns. It is nearly New Year's Eve, and the gifts have not been given out. Riding a series of reign deer with some assistance from the Frostvale elves, the gifts are given out, and Frostvale is celebrated on time. However, Zorbak tries to kill the player before they get their own presents, which would in theory allow him to still win. Zorbak is defeated, but tries to lure the player into a trap using a treasure chest. However, Chilly the moglin and Artix both attack Zorbak, sending him running off, leaving the Ice Orb behind.

The Devourer Saga - Part 1: The Huntress

Part One: Isle D'Oriens

The player is able to travel to The Crater on the Middle Isles, and is confronted by a woman named Mercuria - sister of Niferia from Smoke Mountain. She briefly speaks of how the waterfall going into the crater isnt filling it with water, and then flies off. The player can then head over to a catapult, built by a carpenter named Manny. After the player helps to rebuild it, they may use the catapult to launch themselves into the sky - hitting the floating island of Isle D'Oriens Manny had mentioned.

A cutscene then plays where a woman called the Huntress appears on the island, confronted by a man with an immense beard appears, who calls himself "The Eternal", and after a brief conversation about an strange threat that has taken her family, the Huntress rips a new portal with her gauntlet and leaves after revealing the Eternal to be her father.

After briefly opening the locks on the door outside the island, the player enters what appears to be the center of the village. Wandering into the library, the player discovers a hidden room - as well as the Eternal. With his help, the player unlocks the vault in the hidden room, and a cutscene triggers of a beacon shooting out of DragonClaw Island and lighting up a strange moon - and it seems to have eyes.

Part Two: Yulgar's Disappearance

Back in Battleon, it is apparently night time and Yulgar is alone at the front counter of the inn. A portal appears behind him, apparently created by the Huntress. She asks him about his lineage, then quickly pulls him into the portal.

Re-appearing in the basement of the Battleon guardian tower, the Huntress asks Yulgar about the location of "The Weapons". Yulgar, after briefly being strangled by the Huntress after refusing to cooperate, is instructed to break open a box at the back of the room. Yulgar does so, and finds a book entitled "Weapons of Salvation."

After reading the first page, they are interrupted by a guardian entering the basement. The Huntress seemingly flees, and Yulgar is nearly attacked by the man, but the Huntress re-appears and knocks out the guardian. She then grabs the book and leaves Yulgar to be taken into custody as more guardians descend the staircase.

Later that night, Artix manages to enter the jail cell and free Yulgar after speaking with the guardians, telling him that Warlic and Robina went in the other direction, following the energy signal of the Huntress' gauntlet.

Part Three: The Huntress Chase

The Huntress appears in the forest, briefly re-united with the book, but is ambushed by Nightbane. They briefly fight, and the Huntress' gauntlet is knocked off and the book is dropped. Before Nightbane can seize it, Warlic and Robina arrive and he flies off.

Warlic takes the book and the gauntlet, and shortly after Epheel arrives. He claims that the gauntlet is a weapon of The'Galin, the Devourer, a great being who would send a messenger to Lore when he would arrive to destroy the world. Warlic and Robina, now going on this information, give chase after the Huntress.

Chasing her through Skraeling, Greenguard, and Dwarfhold, the Huntress is cornered in the mountain ranges. She demands the book, and attacks Warlic and Robina. After the brief fight, the three discuss the Salvation weapons. The Huntress is revealed to actually be fighting against The'Galin, while Epheel was the messenger. Robina realises that it was Adder who knew the location of the weapons, not Yulgar - though they shared the same lineage, making them brothers. The group then head for Battleon.

Part Four: Weapons of Salvation

Back in the Guardian tower basement after meeting with Artix, Warlic and Yulgar, listen as the Huntress retells the story of The'Galin's previous coming, how he drove all of the races apart, destroying many people and causing the Drakel to hide in their domed cities. The Huntress, only a child at the time, was hidden in Isle D'Oriens by her father, and the Island was sent into the sky by The Eternal. Once she was old enough, she left behind her father, as well as Lore, after discovering the Gauntlet. Travelling through dimensions, she lived over a thousand years, barely aging. Once her story is finished, they then head for the island.

Adder claims he cannot remember anything of the weapons, but Warlic believes he has been put under a spell so that he will not remember. The Eternal then appears, and claims he was the one who had cast the spell so that Adder would not remember where he had hidden the weapons. Warlic then shows the book to Adder, causing Adder's memory to return. The location of the weapons found, The Eternal then lowers the island on its ethereal tether so that they may safely teleport the weapons to the island. As the island lowers, Epheel rallies his own personal army to stop them.

The player, the Huntress, and Yulgar all arrive in the crater, and fight their way through the army, travelling through the waterfall, a tunnel, the Gulf of Kyed, and arrive in a large underground cavern. The weapons are piled in chests inside, but Epheel is guarding them. Warlic teleports them to the Isle, and Epheel attempts to kill the group. The Huntress and Yulgar chase after him, while Epheel occupies the player with a strange alien creature - a Malzar. Upon defeating it, the player watches as Epheel, the Huntress, and Yulgar do battle. Defeating both of them, the player then takes Epheel on alone, and he flees after being defeated.

Part Five: The Exodus

Over the next 3 days, black clouds begin to form above Battleon. On the final day, a massive black hurricane has formed, and strange shadow creatures descend out of it. The Huntress explains to Artix that the cloud is the Exodus - a giant entity that was once peaceful. However, The'Galin had given it two options - join him, or be destroyed. The Exodus joined him, becoming one of his main forces. The forces of Battleon, now aided by the Salvation weapons, fight the Exodus into the edge of Darkrovia forest, where a controling piece of the exodus, a Soul Banisher, is defeated, causing the Exodus to be called off.

A scene is then shown with Nightbane and Epheel argueing in the field near where the Exodus was. Epheel had apparently used the Exodus without the Devourer's permission. Agent Smith, another agent of the devourer, is with them as well. He brings in a strange ball of light with tentacles, and explains that it is a fusian. The fusians are beings of light, so they did not want to work with the Exodus. Smith explains that they have now joined the Devourer, adding another race to his forces.

The Devourer Saga - Part 2: The Elemental Orbs

Part One: Greenguard Forest

Galanoth and Cyrus tell the player of a disturbence in Greenguard Forest. The player, after arriving there, is confronted by Loremaster Falerin Ardendor. Falerin explains many things to the player in the forest, over the course of a day. Eventually, Falerin tells the player that they must find a place called the Temple of Hope, a place on a continent far to the east called Deren. He says there is a thing called the Cor-Dem gate hidden away in the woods, and then teleports away. Glenn Galrick, whom had been with Falerin at the time, decides to go with the player to find the gate.

As the night slowly turns to sunrise, the player and Galrick find the gate. After using knowledge of Cor-Demi runes, they are able to open the gate, and travel to Deren, the temple infront of where they landed.

Part Two: The Temple of Hope

Entering the Temple, the player and Galrick meet King Tralin who is of a subspecies of drakel with fur and hair, a blending of drakel. Tralin reveals that the Drakel word for all Drakel citizens is Kruath'ri. Tralin explains that there are many types of drakel, and mentions that he and Galrick have met before. Soon, he explains that The'Galin is the Devourer, the Uncreator, and the urgency of surviving him. He then calls out a small yellow moglin named Nel. Nel then guides the player to the Temple library, where they read several books detailing the history of the Devourer and Deren.

After returning to the throne room, the player hears Galrick and Tralin speaking about a man named Ryussei Cartwright. They do not speak further, though the player may ask Tralin more. Tralin explains that he is the Avatar of Life, and there are 8 other avatar on Lore, harboring beings called Annunaki. Tralin explains that those are the people who can help fight the Devourer, and that they are to be trusted.

Part Three: The Hunt for the Orbs

Tralin explains that the statue behind him is a source to channel the power of the elemental lords and unite them with Creation. He explains that the woman depicted in the statue is Lorithia, the Creator of Lore. Each pedestal behind her is a place for one of the Prime Elemental Orbs, left behind by the elemental lords as small pieces of their own power. The player, with the help of Nel, then heads out to retrieve all of these orbs.

The first orb the player seeks is the orb of Ice. Warlic appears to the player, telling them of the hidden basement in the guardian tower where the orb was kept after it was retrieved from King Frost, they make their way there and take it, Warlic making a duplicate so no one will notice it's absence.

The second orb the player goes after is the orb of Fire. Destroyed by Drakonnan, the shattered pieces lay around the ruins of smoke mountain. The player manages to retrieve one from a hoard of fire monsters, another from a band of Fire Knights who were keeping it on Drakonnan's throne, a third from a nest of Salamanders, and the final one from a pyromancer trying to recreate Drakonnan's events. Uniting the pieces together, the orb is reformed.

The third orb, the orb of Darkness, is retrieved from the Mysterious Necromancer in Darkrovia Forest. He laughs as the player takes it, but then returns the next day with an army of undead, commanded by him and flanked by Zorbak and Kabroz. The army is battled back to Darkrovia, and the Mysterious Necromancer gives up on his chase, heading off in the direction of Deren.

The fourth orb, this time the orb of Light, is taken from Mai the lightbringer in the centre mountain of Dwarfhold, after the player is flown there on the back of the winged unicorn Lucius - leader of the Lucian clan on Paxia - after he decides that to stop the devourer, the clans and elements must unite.

The fifth orb is the orb of water. Aquella brings the player to the bottom of the sea, where the orb is stolen by Sea Squirts. Soon after they are defeated, the orb is taken by Vagarans. Taking the orb back from them, Aquella and the player head back to the surface, where they are ambushed by Thefarus the Sea Fiend, Aquella's brother. They both battle him until he returns to the ocean floor.

The sixth orb is the energy orb, held by the great energy wyrm Krenos. Robina, equipped with water arrows, leads the player to the mountain peak where Krenos resides. Swallowing the orb, Krenos spits it back out after being beaten.

The seventh and penultimate orb is the orb of Wind. Heading to the Skraeling Desert, the player finds Dr. Ai Pang from Paxia testing a flying machine. Offering to test it for him, the player navigates through the desert using the device called the "Evane". Landing outside a palace burried in the sand, the player enters to try and retrieve the orb from the top of the palace. Suld, a warrior who tried to unite the tribes and was exiled, stops the player. He claims he wishes to use the orb to unite the tribes forcefully, but his plans end as he is beaten by the player.

The final orb, the orb of Earth, is inside a cave guarded by the creature known as Spiver. Assisted by a magical forest squirrel named Muldoon, the player enters the cave and battles a massive worm before finally battling Spiver and retrieving the final orb. With all the orbs found, the player returns to the temple and places each orb on its respective pedestal. However, nothing happens. Tralin explains that the orb of Creation must be placed in Lorithia's hands before the orbs can be truly united.

The Devourer Saga - Part 3: The War for the Creation Orb

Part One: K'eld Ner

Back in the Temple of Hope, Tralin speaks with Darin and Nel. Soon, the window above the temple opens, and a winged figure flies in. It is revealed that it is Giliara Celegra, one of the few renegade Brilhado who haven't joined the Devourer.

Nel is sent to retrieve Twilly from Battleon. The player, arriving at the Cor-Dem gate shortly after Twilly, is told that Tralin wishes to see them.

The player, arriving in the Temple, is told by Tralin that he and a brilhado by the name of Diviara did battle a long time ago, and Diviara used a powerful spell of the Devourer called The Cold. The Creation Orb shielded Tralin, but it shattered into pieces. Diviara gathered up these pieces, and fled.

Darin, Giliara, Nel, and the player, all head to K'eld Ner. Outside the city gates, they are confronted by the Mysterious Necromancer. However, Giliara calls out the name of Diviara, and the necromancer removes his hood to reveal Diviara Celegra. Giliara reveals Diviara to be his older brother, and Diviara taunts the group, telling them to try and get the shards of the orb from him. Diviara then flies off.

Part Two: Flight of the Brilhado

Diviara lands in Deren Beach, Giliara and the player running ahead of Nel and Darin. Fighting through a small army of brilhado, the two reach Diviara and a brilhado necromancer. Claiming that Giliara is his nephew, Diviara instructs the necromancer to not harm him, but kill the player. The necromancer puts up a brief fight, but is defeated, and Diviara flees and drops a shard of the orb, telling Giliara to head for Cigeli Canyon.

Another small force of brilhado awaits at Cigeli, but the player and Giliara fight through them, aided by the salvation weapons. Diviara, waiting at the bridge across the canyon, uses his skills at necromancy to summon a Dracolich, again instructing it to not kill Giliara. Giliara and the player defeat the dracolich easily, Giliara's light magic being an aid. Diviara, dropping another shard, is noticeably distraught when Giliara tries to persuade him back to the side of unity, but flies off angrily to Edress point, leading his forces with him.

At Edress, the army of brilhado is now flanked by large Kresh spiders - creatures thought long dead. It is revealed that Diviara had been bringing them back to life and had even created a massive giant version of the already huge spiders for his own purposes. Sending out the spider, Giliara and the player kill it, only to find that Diviara has already fled and is left another shard. Giliara then tells the player that Diviara must have fled to Dagin.

However, once the two arrive at Dagin Fields, there is no army. Giliara flies on ahead of the player to meet with Diviara. The player catches up, finding the brothers argueing. Diviara claims love is a disease, yet Giliara reminds him that even The'Galin has things he loves. Diviara seems to consider leaving the Devourer, but instead denies Giliara's request and flies to Deep Lake.

At the lake, Giliara and the player watch as Diviara kills a Braken and re-animates it, sending it plunging into the lake and dragging Giliara and the player with it. Giliara's light magic dispatches the undead braken, but Diviara is furious. He claims that loving killed his wife, and made his son believe he killed her. Diviara says the End has begun, and flies toward the Necromancer Fortress, dropping another shard.

Giliara and the player reach the grounds outside the fortress, but Giliara seems worried. Diviara, waiting at the steps, sends forth a second giant Kresh spider which Giliara defeats. However, as the spider falls, a Brilhado soldier flies up behind Giliara and spears him through the back. Diviara calls him his brother, incriminating him. Killing the soldier, Diviara runs over to Giliara, who uses his last bits of strength to persuade Diviara to join the side of unity and then dies. Diviara and the player fight their way out of the fortress grounds, Diviara now a target of the Devourer's forces after leaving his post as general.

Part Three: The Sinister Seven

The creation orb finally rebuilt, it is returned to the temple. However, as the player and Diviara arrive back at the temple, they find it in ruins with the orbs stolen. Diviara tells Tralin that Giliara has been killed as Darin returns to the temple.

Darin claims that his soldiers overheard a group speaking near the temple grounds shortly after the temple was destroyed. A scene then shows Drakonnas, Drakonnan's son (in his armor.), Sila, Calladus, Nepto, the Zardmaster, and Jack Frost gathered together. They are confused at why they are there, claiming they were summoned by someone. A loud, unseen voice appears from overhead, and the prime orbs float down to each of the 7 villains. The voice claims it wants revenge, and the scene cuts back to Darin in the temple. Darin claims that the group was tracked to an abandoned drakel lab southwest of the temple.

At the lab, Artix, Mercuria, Aquella, Galanoth, Warlic, and Zorbak have joined the fight with the army of Deren against the 7 villains and a mysterious force of dark monsters. Diviara and the player storm the lab, rushing through the forces to the top floor. There, they are confronted by Drakath. Drakath claims that using the blood spilled through all of Lore's countless wars, along with the power of all the orbs and the Orb of Creation in one place, he reanimated himself back to fully living form. The undead form of him, which Diviara had created, was incapable of thinking, but Drakath's soul lived on. The player and Diviara then attack Drakath head on, defeating the massive dragon and retrieving the orbs. The forces of Deren flee the crumbling lab as it slowly falls apart and catches fire.

A scene then plays with Drakath lying near death in the flaming ruins. A brilhado necromancer appears, claiming that the Brilhado want Drakath for other purposes, and uses The Cold to bring him back to life, but with improved strength. Drakath, still wanting revenge, agrees to co-operate with the Devourer.

The Devourer Saga - Part 4: The Network

Part One: The Avatars

With the orbs all back in the repaired Temple of Hope, the player approaches the statue. The pedestals sink into the ground, and the window above Tralin opens and shines a strange light on the ground. A strange machine which resembles a scale rises out of the floor. After solving a puzzle to form the number 755 with the rocks in the scale, the scale sinks back into the ground. The light from the window shines purple, and all the lights in the temple are extinguished.

The player sees a vision of 8 silhouettes, each representing one of the avatars Tralin mentioned. As the cutscene ends, news reaches the player that strange creatures have arrived in the jungle north of the Middle Isles.

===Part Two: The Network Strikes!===

Many creatures of the Devourer's network have started to arrive in the Dark Lands north of the Middle Isles, attacking the surrounding area and protecting a small tower near the mountain range. Several of the forces appear to be from other planets, and forces of the Devourer from before have returned as well.

Fighting their way through, the player and Diviara, along with the Huntress and Yulgar, make their way to the tower. However, the player goes in alone, while the others hold off the monsters outside. Inside, the player meets Wolfwing - now healed, wielding water elemental gauntlets. Nightbane appears, and attacks the two. After being defeated, Nightbane says he was just a test, and that they will meet again.

Part Three: Pirates vs. Ninjas

The player is told that there is a war occuring near Mt.Daijin. Upon arrival, the Red Betty is seen in the water near the beach. Captain Rhubarb has been told that there is treasure at the base of Mt.Daijin, and Elizabeth has been told that the pirates will raid the surrounding area. Both claim to have been told this by a very credible friend, and are both fighting without knowing what the other has been told.

Rhubarb's ship is raided first, and he is defeated. Elizabeth is then attacked in the dojo at the mountain's base, and is defeated in similar fashion. However, as Rhubarb and Elizabeth head out to the battlefield to meet, they find Blackhawke. Claiming to now work for the Devourer, he says that he tried to pit the two against eachother on purpose. The player, along with Elizabeth and the Captain, attack Blackhawke, and a black vapor leaves his body as he is defeated. They discern that the Devourer had possessed Blackhawke, but Rhubarb is still confident that he can be stopped.

Part Four: The Drakel Civil War

K'eld Naer is launched into civil war after Minister Bree-Ha decides that if he can join the Devourer, he can rule the universe along with the rest of the drakel. Assisting him is cybernetic drakel warlord Fansarin. Believing they are superior over all races, they attack the Orcs and the Elves, along with the humans, in an attempt to bring about the coming of the Devourer.

Lavistria and General Brontus, leaders of their own kind (Elves and Orcs, respectively.), rally their own forces to attempt to combat the drakel. Knowing that the Devourer thrives on discord, they attempt to work together with drakel against the civil war and humans to align themselves with unity. The battle then ensues, spanning the way across the area's mountain ranges.

Fighting their way into K'eld Naer, Lavistria, Brontus, and the player find Fansarin with his machete to Bree-Ha's throat. Claiming that he does not care whether or not the drakel rule the universe, he merely wants the power of the Devourer for himself.

Bree-Ha is freed, and the three attack Fansarin.
At the last moment, damage to his legs causes them to give out, and his machete falls out of his hand and impales him. Bree-Ha is taken into custody by Lavistria and Brontus, and the civil war ends.

Part Five: The Evil of Omega

Falerin, Galrick, and Diviara discuss the events of the pirates and ninjas over the past few days. It is discovered that the ability to possess others is a new power of the Devourer. The Huntress and The Eternal - whom Falerin reveals their names to be Celestra and Garavin, respectively - arrive shortly after, discussing the events of the civil war in K'eld Naer. The Huntress believes that Blackhawke being possessed was a sign of the Omega, The'Galin's strongest agent, though the Huntress says he is not on Lore yet.

The next day, Diviara speaks of how the Mysterious Necromancer will always exist, because it is a title, not a person. He says there have been others before him, and there will be more. The group then discuss how the avatars are safe from Omega. Falerin explains that if someone is already hosting something - in the avatar's case, Annunaki - Omega can not enter their body.

On the third day, the group travel to the necromancer fortress. Diviara is believed to be a traitor by some of The'Galin's forces, and others believe he was acting on orders given by the Devourer, so he is able to gather information. He learns that Omega is apparently trying to re-create the Legacy of Xilar - causing war and ending unity.

On the final day, Diviara scouts out the fortress and sees a Brilhado necromancer speaking to a figure offscreen. The figure says that they have been given orders to not harm Diviara. The necromancer follows the orders, calling the figure "Lord Omega".

Part Six: Chaos among the Clans

News comes from Paxia that the leaders of the 8 elemental clans have disappeared. Some of the clan members believe that the other clans took their leaders, and others believe that it was the work of the Devourer. Chaos ensues, and the clans battle eachother out of confusion. Eventually, the majority of the group fights for unity instead, believing that fighting amongst themselves would be what the Devourer wants.

Soon, the clan leaders are freed. Paxus and Negatus arrive at the reunion of the clans, but a man in a red and gold suit appears infront of them. He thanks the clans for fighting and causing so much chaos, as the Devourer thrives off such things. Geoto threatens to destroy the man, but he teleports away. The clan leaders then discuss how unity cannot be forced, and they must leave their clansmen to choose on their own.

Falerin appears soon after, and Paxus tells him that "He" was here. Falerin apologizes for not arriving sooner, and Paxus expresses concern that the clans might divide further. Falerin believes that while some may divide, the number of those who will unify will be great enough to make a difference, and then leaves after wishing the clans luck.

Part Seven: In the Aftermath of Chaos

Diviara and Galrick discuss the events of the clan war outside the necromancer fortress. During their conversation, the man in the red suit appears once more, and Galrick recognizes him immediately, revealing him to be Ryussei Cartwright.

A brilhado necromancer appears and offers to use The Cold on Galrick and Diviara, but Ryussei tells him that Diviara is more skilled, and it would be a useless effort. The necromancer then offers to send word of the victory of Unity on paxia to someone called "Lord Ojo", but Ryussei instead instructs him to get information on Battleonia (the most Northwest continent.). The necromancer tries to tell Ryussei they have other orders, but Ryussei uses The Cold on the him and forces him to get the information.

Telling Galrick that he wishes to complete the transformation he started on Planet Terra, Ryussei then disappears.

The Devourer Saga - Part 5: DragonClaw Island

Part One: Strange Whispers

Wolfwing is in the main street of Granemor, speaking with Dewlok and Cenara. Wolfwing sends Cenara to speak to an unspecified person, while Dewlok and Wolfwing discuss the appearance of the Void Moon above Granemor. While the moon will not harm anyone, it seems to bother Wolfwing. Dewlok says it is a sign of the Devourer's coming.

Wolfwing believes that it observes as much as Lord Ojo, who is revealed be named Louis Zephyr, a Terran. Dewlok explains that Ojo is short for Ojodeldavorador, "Eye of the Devourer" in a Terran language. Dewlok also says he has been watching Epheel, and he saw him speaking with a human in a Sandy Claws suit.

Part Two: Man in White

The player is told that there are strange disturbances going on in Greenguard Forest. Upon arriving there, the monsters seem to be over-acting. The player eventually arrives in a small grove, where a man in white robes with an owl on his shoulder is sitting cross-legged. He claims to be looking for Falerin.

Assisting the player in leaving the forest, but then moves farther ahead. The man meets with Falerin at the edge of Greenguard, and tells Falerin that something called the Prison of Ages has been broken. He tells Falerin that someone has requested him, and the player is left confused as the man in white walks away.

Part Three: Worlds in Peril

Back on Deren, Falerin and the man clothed in white from Greenguard Forest speak of various happenings on Planet Terra, the figure's name being revealed to be Eldron. Eldron tells what he has learned on Terra. Ryussei was apparently the adopted son of Matthew Twain, and went by the name of Robert Twain for some years. Eventually, Ryussei killed Matthew, and went back to his old name. Finally, Eldron has discovered that a letter informing The'Galin's armies of what to do has been delivered to the Brilhado Gate.

Soon, the player arrives after Falerin has left. Eldron informs the player of the plan to steal the letter from The'Galin, and replace it with a double. Transforming the player into a Brilhado Necromancer, Eldron then sends the player to bluff their way through the agents of The'Galin.

Through the course of the day, the player meets various muscled brilhado guards, and answers the questions they ask to gain access to further reaches of the Brilhado region. The player learns that The'Galin lived on the continent of Inilar, in Tjeli, and worked in an orphanage. They also learn that Xilar spread the lie to people that the elemental lords were ever at war to cause chaos amongst them. Furthermore, it is learned that Falerin is a Caelestian, not a half-elf, and that Ryussei is a Vesperian.

Arriving at the fortress, Eldron, Galrick, and the player make their way inside and find the safe room where the letter is being kept. Reading it, it details that The'Galin is observing Lore for signs of unity, and if the people of Lore can truly put unity among their priorities, there may be hope for Lore. However, Ryussei appears as Eldron casts an invisibility spell over the three, and despite the letter's contents tells the necromancer that came with him to launch an attack and show no mercy.

Part Four: DragonClaw Island

Upon returning to Battleon, the player finds a note from a Beleqwaya Melamin lying in the back of Yulgar's Inn. Beleqwaya, whom had been staying at the inn, claimed he had spent some time searching for things across the world of Lore. The note tells the player to take a boat from the coast of the swamplands, to the tip of DragonClaw island.

Some time later, the player manages at Claw Tip Landing. Arriving in what appear to be ruins, the player meets up with Beleqwaya. Beleqwaya explains that he came to DragonClaw in search of several magical artifacts, as well as to find a magic Focus Site located on the island called "Cifu Estos". Lastly, he explains that the mysterious red cloud of fog located along the island's south-eastern coast is blocking his progress to an artifact important to his research. He then sends the player off in search of his list of components to his spell, as well as the ingredients, promising the player an artifact in return for their service.

Soon, the player gathers the ingredients from across the continent, and eventually returns to Beleqwaya, collecting a treasure as part of their deal. Next, Beleqwaya sends the player to the Hedge maze. Though the player manages to reach the exit, it is blocked by a dangerous magic portal, sealing off the entrance to Cifu Estos. Discouraged, the player returns to Beleqwaya.

Part Five: No Good Deed

Back on Deren, Eldron tells Falerin of what was learned at the Brilhado Gate. Discussing the events witnessed, The Huntress and The Eternal arrive. It is determined that Ryussei is indeed acting of his own motives. As they finish their discussion, Diviara flies in and tells the group that Network Forces are closing in on them. An off-screen figure orders the brilhado necromancers to kill all but Galrick, claiming he is needed for other purposes.

Falerin orders The Huntress and the Eternal to leave with Galrick. Galrick briefly protests, but Falerin quickly dismisses his requests and the three teleport away. Once again calling the unseen figure "Lord Omega", the necromancers then begin to close in on Diviara and Falerin as it is realised that they are now going against Omega's orders to not harm Diviara.

Back outside K'eld Ner, Galrick, The Huntress and the Eternal have safely escaped the attack. The Eternal leaves to aid Diviara and the Loremaster, leaving The Huntress and Galrick alone.

The Huntress, asking why Galrick is wearing a santa hat, revealing that she has been to Terra and knows that the hat is worn around Christmas time. Galrick, being asked why he has mistletoe attached to the hat, explains the custom of kissing anyone who comes under the plant. After an awkward moment, Galrick reveals that he was at one time a married man, but his wife was killed in Sentar on the continent of Neld. He believes he will not surivive the coming attacks, claiming that "they still want him". He goes on, saying that Vandarians attacked Neld, and he unleashed an army of undead. The Huntress attempts to comfort him as he reveals that Tralin's father King Draynor died because of him. Galrick, believing the Devourer's function to be necessary, is reminded by the Huntress that the Network is not, and they must be stopped. Galrick then admits that he wants to die fighting the Network, but the Huntress believes that he still has a chance to survive, then kisses him on the cheek.

Back at the beach where Falerin and Diviara were, Falerin has decimated an entire contingent of Brilhado, apparently with a single spell. Telling the single remaining soldier to return to Omega and tell him not to attack him again, Falerin enrages the Brilhado. However, Diviara uses The Cold on him, and forces the soldier to return to Omega.

Part Six: The Tower of Xyphos

Back on DragonClaw Island, the player meets with Beleqwaya at the edge of the Red Fog, being told that he believes the final instrument in his spell is located within the tower located in the center of the fog. Sending the player through a path he cuts in the fog, Beleqwaya instructs the player to find a reddish purple sphere that should be somewhere inside.

Upon reaching the tower, the player is stopped by a man guarding the tower, who informs the player that someone is being held within the tower. Disregarding the warning, the player ventures inside to find red glowing runes etched into the walls in every room. Travelling to the top of the tower, the player finds a tattered scroll misleading them about the runes written above it. Keeping it in mind, the player returns to the ground floor, hoping to find the sphere there instead.

Stumbling across the basement, the player manages to navigate tunnels packed with crystals and stone etched with many more of the strange red runes. Eventually reaching a door with an odd looking lock on it, the player presses the combination they found on the upper floor and enters the now unlocked room, finding a large red circle inscribed on the floor with even more of the runes. Looking up, the player discovers a rotting corpse hanging by some chains on the wall, which drops down and recites some strange phrases before overpowering and killing the player.

Upon dying, the player meets a strange man dressed in similar clothing to the corpse. Claiming he was taking a nap, the man excitedly restores the player to life using the circle in the room, as well as coming back to life himself and obliterating the corpse. Beleqwaya then runs in, and after a short conversation the man reveals himself to be Xyphos Celestin - as well as a friend of Beleqwaya. He had been experimenting with necromancy and various other things within his tower, and had killed himself in order to explore what undeath was like. Returning the orb to Beleqwaya, the player heads to Battleon while Beleqwaya prepares the spell to access Cifu Estos.

The Devourer Saga - Part 6: Allignment

Part One: The Beginning of the End

Returning to Battleon, the player arrives in time to see a wounded Wolfwing entering the town. Wolfwing, attempting to explain himself, is then confronted by Artix, whom demands he explain his presence. Upon asking this, Dewlok and Cenara walk up beside him, Dewlok claiming that Wolfwing is there because Dewlok asked him to head to Battleon to seek help against the forces of the Devourer - or more specifically, his agents. Dewlok, after mentioning how Wolfwing had faught for their cause once before (in the jungle against Nightbane), then explains that Nightbane is now influenced heavily by Epheel, who according to ancient moglin texts is the harbringer of the Devourer.

According to Cenara, Nightbane again tried to kill Wolfwing, attacking him before turning himself upon her. She is still resolute, however, that Nightbane can be persuaded to turn to their side. Wolfwing ends the conversation by asking for Artix's help, stating that Nightbane has been changed by the void and is a threat to all of them, pointing out that fighting him as well as the Network would exhaust their forces too quickly. Artix is finally persuaded to help them, as is the player, and the group head for Darkrovia to attempt to convert Nightbane to the side of unity.
