Luba Cherbakov is Luba Cherbakov is a computer scientist, IBM Distinguished Engineer, known for her contributions to the field of service-oriented architecture. She is a co-inventor of the Service-Oriented Modeling and Architecture (SOMA). Cherbakov received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland College Park, and her M.S. in Computer Science from George Washington University. She joined IBM in 1997 where she currently serves as Director of the "Future of the Intranet" in the IBM CIO office. Cherbakov was appointed an IBM Distinguished Engineer in 2004 and in the following year elected to the IBM's Academy of Technology. |
