Low Priced Asian Edition

Keeping in view the low per capita income of Asian countries, and the value of the currency in the same, some book publishers allow their books to be republished in Asian countries. These versions of the books are referred to as either Eastern Economy Editions or Low Priced Asian Editions.

Book Quality
Arguably, these books are of inferior print and binding quality; they are mostly published by Indian publishers, such as Prentice-Hall of India, Tata McGraw Hill, etc., and are illegal for sale outside India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and a few others.
In earlier years, there were many pirate publishers serving the same market with reprints.
