Love Song for a Savior

"Love Song For A Savior" is the third radio single from Jars of Clay, released in 1996 from their self-titled debut album. The song was actually written in February of 1994 on the campus of Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. The first recording of the song appears on the band's demo album, Frail, which was released in June of that same year. The version that appears on the band's self-titled debut album is very similar in structure and sound to the version that appeared on the demo album. An acoustic version of the song appears on the first disc of the 2003 double album, Furthermore: From the Studio, From the Stage.
