Lord John

Lord John was an American band in the late 1980s. Their sound has been compared to that of Echo & the Bunnymen, with enough psychedelia to have them touted as part of the then emerging paisley underground movement. Their debut album, Six Days of Sound (1986) was praised by some critics. The album was also released in Greece on the Hitch Hyke record label where it sold well. Six songs were subsequently recorded in New York City sessions for a follow-up album, but were never released although bootlegs have surfaced.
Lord John were New Jersey psychedelia revivalists, an integral part of the New Jersey 1980s scene, along with The Secret Syde, The Laughing Soupdish, Mod Fun, and Tiny Lights.
