Long Tail Magic

Long Tail Magic (abbreviated LTM) is a server side application developed by Rase Solutions Inc that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. It's main highlight is that the product is aimed at Online Business owners, website Owners, webmasters and technologists from which the industry of web analytics originally grew.
Users can install LTM on any one of thier website(s) with the simple installer (or by hiring LTM team for installing it on their site). The installation process includes setting up a MySQL database and running the installer on a Linux server. Once installed, users place a special "Tracking Code" on their web site(s), which does all the tracking for them.
On sites that use content management systems and blogs like Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, Simple Machines Forum, etc, users can put this code in the footer of their site and it will automatically track each page of their site and give users the following information:

1. Search Terms (Long Tail keywords)
This search term report will show users what their visitors searched for on search engines before coming to their website(s). The search terms that are tracked, can be from their PPC campaign or Organic traffic from several search engines.
Long Tail Magic also tracks conversions on their site and shows users which keywords convert into sales and which ones don't.

2. User Footprints
The User Footprint report shows users the location of each visitor that comes to their site, their host name, search term they searched for, the entry page (the page they came on their site), the exit page (the page they exited from), the conversion page URL (if the user buys something or is marked as a conversion, this shows users which URL was the conversion URL), number of clicks, page views, etc. It also shows users if this visitor ended up buying what users were selling on their site or NOT.

3. Browser Conversion Report
Users can also know the average of who buys more from their site, Internet Explorer users, Google Chrome users, Firefox users, etc. This information, as basic as it sounds, is very critical, because this will tell users which browsers do not convert on their site. As users know some web sites look different on different browsers, users can use this information to make their site look as it appears to the WINNER BROWSER visitors.

4. Domain Name Conversion Tracking
Besides getting a comprehensive list of how many unique visitors does one domain name (web site) send to their web site, users can also see which ones convert into sales and which ones don't. Eg., if users made a post on warrior forum regarding their product or have their link in their signature, and realize that people followed that link and bought their service, users know their product converts well on the audience of Warrior Forum, users can then be more active and offer their products openly through WSO or other advertising methods. This is how Discoveries happen. users need to be able to track what is going on, on their site.

5. Referring Site URL tracking and conversions
This report shows users the exact URL from where their visitors are being sent to their site and what is converting and what is not. This report gets handy if users just released a press release or an article on several different web sites and want to see how is which one working. It tracks clicks and conversions.

6. Entry Page / Conversion Page Details
This report shows users how many people entered their site on different landing pages on their site. This can be a good resource for users to know where most of their people are entering their site so users can optimize those pages to make sure their visitors can conveniently find the information they are looking for and finally go to the product or service users are offering to them. Optimizing their entry pages can result in a significant increase in their conversion rates.

If users have more than one conversion pages on their site, this report also shows users which pages are people visiting more.

Long Tail Magic is a recognized name in the Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing. Affiliates willing to promote this product can do so via Clickbank.
History
Long Tail Magic was developed by Raakesh Blokhra, the programmer of Affiliate Radar and Offer Valult (products for Affiliate Marketers). All these products are listed to help internet marketers / affiliate marketers get a better insight of their advertising efforts. These products help users understand which keywords are good keywords to bid on (based on their success with them). By using Conversion Tracking softwares, companies and individuals have been able to save a big chunk of money.
Technology
Long Tail Magic is implemented by including a hidden snippet of JavaScript code that the user adds onto every page of their website. This code captures the visitor data including their host name, refering web site, searched keywords, etc to the user's server for processing. Data is processed in Real Time and results are available instantly.
LTM also sets first party cookies on each visitor's computer to identify the visitor if/when the visitor comes back to the site at a later date. Cookies also help in determining the actual number of Unique Visitors and Repeat Visitors.
Limitations
Many ad filtering programs and extensions (such as Firefox's Adblock and NoScript) can block the LTM Tracking code. This prevents some traffic and users from being tracked, and leads to holes in the collected data.
It is important to note that these limitations affect all on-site web analytics tools that collect on-site visitor data using page tags. That is, the small piece of code (usually JavaScript) that acts as a beacon to collect visitor data.
Requirements
Long Tail Magic will only function on the following:
Linux Server with Apache
MySQL Database
PHP 4+
Note: Hostgator customers will need to request them to whitelist LTM on their domain.
Support
Long Tail Magic comes with unlimited email support with a turnaround of maximum 24 hours.
