The Lockdown Economy is an international nonprofit educational movement launched to help small businesses and self employed professionals overcome the difficulties presented by covid 19. The initiative consist of series of interviews where entrepreneurs who have been affected by covid 19 share their story and these stories also serves as educational materials about entrepreneurship during the lockdown for use by students Background The Lockdown Economy was started in May 2020 by Julia Skepchenko to help small business overcome the challenges of covid 19 pandemic. The initiative which grew to a team of 20 volunteers has helped over 8000 entrepreneurs worldwide and has been recognised by the united nation as Acceleration Action for SDGs. The second part of the initiative which is the academy provides a unique sources of learning materials and access to real case studies which can be used at schools and businesses as case study by incorporating lessons from different countries around the continent.
