This is a list of unmade and unreleased animated shorts and features The Walt Disney Company. Some films, such as Destino, Alice in Wonderland and The Little Mermaid, were unreleased at some point. 1930s 1934 *Hillbilly also known as Mickey the Hillbilly or Hillbilly Mickey - Pete the moonshiner mistakes Mickey for a revenue agent, and Minnie Mouse also appear as a hillbilly girl. *Station Agent - Mickey is working at Train Station were he encounters trouble some Kangaroo. *The Good Samaritan - Pluto rescues a baby puppy that wrecks the house of Black mistress. *Desert Prospectors - Mickey, Donald, and Goofy discover a ledge of 19-karat gold in the desert with the aid of an automatic gold-finder which has been constructed by Goofy. But the machine goes berserk when it gets too close to Donald's gold belt buckle, attacking the duck and ultimately exploding a stick of dynamite. The trio of prospectors are left in tattered disarray. *The Three Bears also known as Goldie Locks and Three Bears - A proposed Silly Symphony of the well-known children's story. *Snowbabies - A proposed Silly Symphony and sequel to Water Babies and sequel/prequel to Merbabies the babies are now playing in the show instead of water. *Struebel Peter also known as Slovenly Peter - A proposed Silly Symphony would have featured Peter, an unruly boy who delights in tormenting animals. The animals, in the end, would have been able to eventually take their revenge. *The Emperor's New Clothes - When the Silly Symphony failed to materialize Mickey Mouse was brought into the story and the concept was developed as ether short or featurette. At one point Donald and Goofy were also considered for inclusion in the plot. *Mickey's Follies not be confused with 1929 short of same name also known as - An amazingly large and ambitious projected short would have featured nearly all of the standard Disney characters as well as some of the more popular "Silly Symphonies" characters in a grand musical revue. Bold text 1938 *Mickey's Toothache - Mickey inhales laughing gas and enters a nightmare world were he is threatened by dental equipment. *Movie Makers - Mickey is an amateur filmmaker in Hollywood and Donald and Pluto are set out to help him in making the films. *Mickey's Beach Picnic - Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto have rough day at the Beach. *20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - Mickey plays Captain Nemo in under sea adventure. *Yukon Donald - Donald discovers that a mischievous baby walrus has been stealing food from his cache. Chasing the little thief, he runs afoul of the walrus' giant father. When Donald tries to placate papa walrus with a fish, the baby walrus steals it. *Donald's Shooting Gallery - Donald attracts the nephew to his shooting range, by exposing a box of chocolates as a prize. This proposed Donald Duck short is in theory an alternative story routine to the finished 1947 cartoon Straight Shooters. *Mickey's Nephews - A Christmas story were Mickey would have played Santa for the Orphans. *Snow White Returns - The seven guys builds a bed for Show white and she gives them soup in return. *Penguin Island - This proposed feature was about a fictitious island of great auks that exists off the northern coast of Europe. The history begins when a wayward Christian missionary monk accidentally lands on the island and sees the great auks as a sort of Greek pre-Christian pagan society. Partly blind, he mistakes the animals for people and baptizes them. *The Wizard of Oz- Originally Walt Disney's follow-up to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but the film rights were lost out to Samuel Goldwyn, who originally intended to make it as a standard musical comedy, with Eddie Cantor as his star. However, Goldwyn ended up selling the rights to MGM. *Balloon Race - Mickey, Minnie, Horace, and Clarabelle in a balloon race against Black Pete *Donald's Stratosphere Flight - Donald has problems repairing and launching his hot-air balloon. *Hunted Castle - Donald tries camps out side a spooky castle, but his tent runs foil on him when strong wind blew is tent up in air Donald lands inside. *Tree Surgeon - Donald and Goofy are tree surgeons. Goofy as a surgeon, asking for his doctor's tools as he bandages an unseen "patient"... really a tree. We would then have focused on the Duck and Goof struggling to dope trees with laughing gas while various forest animals fought back. Eventually Don and Goofy inhale the laughing gas themselves, leading to a dizzy ballet around the woods and a bad fall for Don into some poison ivy. We iris in on Donald needing the next round of Goofy's bandages. 1940s 1940 *Men in Uniform - Mickey would have played a milkman who finds his foil in a small kitten. *Calling Dr. Duck - Donald's tree Surgeon plot similar to erlier Tree Surgeon. *Ditch Diggers - Goofy and Donald work construction for Pete. *Don Quixote - This proposed feature film would have been of smilar artistic as Bambi. It is about man named Alonso Quixano (or Quijano), a retired country gentleman nearing 50 years of age, lives in an unnamed section of La Mancha with his niece and a housekeeper. He has become obsessed with books of chivalry, and believes their every word to be true, despite the fact that many of the events in them are clearly impossible. Quixano eventually appears to other people to have lost his mind from little sleep and food and because of so much reading. *Donald's Tank - While cleaning an armored tank, Donald accidentally explodes some grenades near his sergeant, Black Pete. To escape Pete's wrath, he takes off in the tank, crashing through the officer's mess and separating a general from his T-bone steak. Donald's problems are compounded when an experimental television monitor inside the tank is activated, and he confuses its telecast for scenes of the passing terrain. Straying across the French line, he spoils a surprise attack on Adolf Hitler's Panzer Division. *The Lady with The Rad Pomom - tauchan bird encounters aracuan bird and they fight over a lady Rad Pomom. *Lima Story - Adventurous Lima finds him self in the hots of South America Lake Titicaca. *Fiesta of the Flowers - Botanical action of the flowers on South America, 1952 1953 1954 1955 *Money-sorting Machine also known as Donald-Scrooge Opus - Donald works at Scrooge's money bin, operating a money-sorting machine that runs by power. When Donald is away for lunch, the radio announces a plague of rats is loose in the city. Scrooge closes and shutters all of his windows and bolts the door. He sits down terrified to eat his cheese sandwich, but before he can begin he is besieged by a determined rat who has smelled the cheese from afar. The rat threatens to destroy a ten-thousand dollar bill, if Scrooge doesn't order the most expensive cheese in the world. 1956 1957 1958 1959 1960s *Barefoot Boy - Boy with cheek of tan, with thy rolled up pantaloons and thy merry whistled tunes in the Never land of Peter Pan. *Prairie Rhythm also known as Pretty Red Wing - A planned satire of the classic Western-movie stereotypes, it is about an Indian girl and a white trapper.<ref name=anthon/> 1960 *The Emperor's Nightingale - This proposed film would have used paper cut-out animation in telling the traditional tale, but with a much finer and delicate Asian style than that earlier short.<ref name=anthon/> 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965 1966 1967 *Hansel and Gretal - This proposed feature about Hansel and Gretel a brother and sister threatened by a cannibalistic witch living deep in the forest in a house constructed of cake and gingerbread.<ref name=anthon/> 1968 * Scruffy An idea similar to "Inspector Bones". Scruffy is a dog detective in England. It was canceled after the studio chose to work on The Aristocrats and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. 1969 *Hootsie the Owl also known as Wise Little Owl - This proposed feature about a misfit owl who sleeps at night and is awake during the day as he hatched during the day. He is consistence embarrassment to his parents and he don't owns any friends. This is basically the same plot as from 1940 but the main difference now new snake character was brought into the plot the snake is build from the same Idea as seen in the Jungle Book.<ref name=anthon/> *The Bremen Town Musicians - In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster, all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, to live without owners and become musicians there.<ref name=anthon/> 1970s 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978 1979 1980s 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990s 1990 *Who Discovered Roger Rabbit - The shelved proposed prequel to the 1988 Disney/Amblin film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The film, which previously went by the working title, Roger Rabbit: The Toon Platoon, was set in 1941 and the Second World War, and would have had Roger Rabbit and Baby Herman going on a journey through the perils of the war in search of Roger's birth mother and birth father, in the midst of the Americas. It also would have been a musical, and would have included songs too. *DuckTales the Movie (film series) - Originally, Disney had planned a entirely further line of theatrical DuckTales feature films to literally follow on Treasure of the Lost Lamp, but the plans were all but quickly got shelved in the process, just right after the box office failure of that proposed first film in the would-be series. 1991 *Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers: The Movie - The proposed feature film spin-off of the television series, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers. It was scrapped at the midst of the box office failure of DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp. 1992 *Homer's Odyssey - . *Sinbad the Sailor - Was scrapped after Aladdin was released. 1993 *Swan Lake - . *Song of the Sea - . 1994 *Silly Hillbillies on Mars - . *Mickey Mouse: The Movie - A feature-length Mickey Mouse film was in pre-production at DisneyToon Studios for a while, until the plan was eventually dropped, one year later. * - A fourth, as-yet-untitled, Roger Rabbit cartoon short based on Who Framed Roger Rabbit was planned for release in 1995, to coincide with the release of Toy Story preceding that proposed feature film in the process. It was canceled, after pre-production ended and before production could begin, and was replaced in the preceding gap with a rerun of Rollercoaster Rabbit. 1995 *The Rescuers III - A third Rescuers film was planned, to released straight-to-video rather than theatrically, but due to the sudden death of Eva Gabor, the voice of Miss Bianca, the prepared plans for this film, and all future Rescuers installments in the would-be franchise, and even into a proposed television series adaptation, were eventually altogether scrapped. 1996 1997 1998 1999 *Kingdom of the Sun - A very early, serious musical version of what eventually became The Emperor's New Groove. 2000s 2000 2001 *Dumbo II - At one point, Disney planned a proposed direct-to-video sequel to Dumbo, which after its announcement, and i's early pre-production status, with concept art already prepared for the film, for some mysterious reasons, was aborted before it began production, and the development of the film was never revived. *Atlantis II: Shards of Chaos - The original proposed direct-to-video sequel to Atlantis: The Lost Empire, it ultimately eventually became Atlantis: Milo's Return, just two years after the film was scrapped along with plans for a television series spin-off of Atlantis. *' - At one point, Disney had planned to do a sequel to Tim Burton's Nightmare, but instead of using traditional stop-motion animation, the sequel would have use computer animation instead. Burton, however, convinced Disney to drop the idea, as he was very protective of the Nightmare franchise, and did not want a continuation of Jack Skellington's chronicles outside Halloween World. 2002 2003 2004 2005 *A Few Good Ghosts - This proposed feature film was to have concerned a family of ghosts living in a haunted house, but the production was suddenly quickly canceled and never revived. *Fraidy Cat - This proposed feature film was to have chronicled the life of a frightened cat who had already lost three of his nine lives, but that too was hastily axed and ultimately never revived as well. 2006 *Fantasia III - Also known as Fantasia 2006, this would have been the third film installment in the , until the plans were eventually altogether dropped, and proposed segments from that abandoned film was instead and produced and released as individual stand-alone Disney animated shorts. *Mulan III - At one point, a third film in the Disney's Mulan film series was planned; like the first sequel film as before, this proposed second sequel to Mulan would have ultimately gone direct-to-DVD. The production was eventually canceled, and was never finished after that. 2007 *The Aristocats II - The canceled proposed direct-to-video sequel to the original 1970 film. *Chicken Little: The Ugly Duckling Story - The proposed DTV sequel to Chicken Little. *Meet the Robinsons: First Date - The canceled DTV sequel to Meet the Robinsons. It would have further chronicled Cornelius Robinson's new-found life, as a teenager, growing up, going on his first date, building even more new inventions and starting his futuristic city he had created, and would have ended with him, now an adult and an already established inventor and peacemaker, getting married with his wife, Franny, and make love with her, in which Franny would become pregnant and eventually give birth to his son, Wilbur. *Disney's Dwarfs - At one point, Disney was developing a sort-of Lord of the Rings-like franchise series of direct-to-DVD films, that which would chronicled a tribe of hero dwarfs on the urge of good battling against the forces of horrid evil. The proposed project didn't go through, and the planned resulting series was ultimately canceled. 2008 *Disney Princess Enchanted Tales (film series) - Initially, after the release of the film Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams, there was to be an entire series of Enchanted Tales film installments, with the proposed second film planned to feature a Ariel story and a story. But however, due to the later concept tweaking of, and resulting poor DVD sales from the first film, the proposed entire series of films was scrapped. 2009 2010 * Newt - The first canceled proposed project from Disney/Pixar. It would have concerned the exploits of two blue-footed newts, one male and one female, try to find each other and then bond themselves and eventually made to prevent the extinction of their newt race, and as well as trying to avoid the need to hate and stop caring about each one another in the process as well. It was planned to be released in 2012. * The Snow Queen - An adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen story. It is planned to be released in 2013.
