List of magical creatures in Winx Club

This is a list of magical creatures seen on Winx Club in order of appearance. Some creatures use their 4Kids dub names, some their Rai English dub names.
Creatures
*Fairies: The most dominant creatures in the series, fairies are extremely powerful beings with innate magical abilities. They have wings and beautiful outfits when fully transformed, but retract their wings in civilian mode. It is said that fairies were born of pure, magical energy, as proven by the first fairy, Arcadia.
*Witches: The distant, malevolent cousins of the fairy race. Witches, or wizards, resemble humans the most, next to fairies, but are far from it. They use their magical powers to spread evil and misery throughout the universe, given a few rare exceptions that use their powers for good.
* Hunting Troll: A large, stupid, unpleasant and savage creature with prominent nipple rings and long greasy hair. It battled Stella in its first appearance to get her magic ring. Bloom stopped it with a fire spell. The troll used its sensitive nose to track Bloom home with a torn piece of cloth from her pant cuff, but was made short work of and taken back home to Magix. Though captured, it escaped confinement aboard the Specialists' ship and menaced the boys and girls in the woods. Deemed a failure, it was sent to Oblivion by the Trix. The troll was quite huge; it stood about a head taller than even the colossal Knut.
* Bingledip Beast: Another monster mentioned that was in the stables at Red Fountain.
* Bagle Monster: One that Stella defeated when the Winx went to Cloudtower to get back her ring.
* Cretan Minotaur: A four-armed minotaur that was used by the Trix to attack the Winx Club. The minotaur was used to distract the Winx girls while the Trix were looking for the real location of the Dragon's Flame. It was defeated and taken away by the Specialists.
* Island Turtle: A resident of the swamp where the Water Nymphs live. When the leader Willow was on its back, it went berserk until the Willow was vanquished.
* Windigow Willow: A parasitic tree that emitted sleeping gas when it was planted on the back of an Island Turtle. It steals the nutrients of the swamp where the "island" is located, threatening the lives of all who inhabit it. The Winx Club] were able to vanquish it.
* Craven: A crow/raven monster that the Trix use for aerial reconnaissance missions.
* Nightmare Gargoyle: The Nightmare Gargoyle is a type of gargoyle that gets more powerful whenever it feeds off nightmares. Each time it absorbs more power, its body shape changes and grows larger. The Nightmare Gargoyle was vanquished by Ms. Faragonda.
* Dragons: One of the many creatures living in the wizarding world. The Redfountain stables have several dragons.
* Army of Darkness: An army of monsters made of slimy insects that can be summoned by whoever has the Dragon's Flame. If the person that has control over the Army of Darkness is defeated, the army disappears. It was stated that the army is impossible to control and will cause total destruction. There are four prominent types of monsters in the army. The first is a large monster with red eyes, tentacles sprouting out of its snout, thin legs, spikes on its back and enormous claws. The second is an enormous headless monster with giant fists and a rock-like body. The third are flying rays (similar to manta rays and sting rays) that have sharp teeth. The last are little bugs that if touched, will turn the creature that touched it to rot.
* Snow Monster: A big, tusked, furry monster with ice spikes on its back that resided on the frozen Domino. It took the combined powers of Flora, Tecna, Musa, and Stella to vanquish it.
* Ice Crabs: Crabs that are made of ice.
* Unnamed Spider Monsters: Spider-like monsters with scary grinning faces that live near Cloudtower.
* Arachni-cam: A spider-like monster with an eyeball on its back. The eye on its back is used as a camera, either for surveillance or to spy on other creatures.
* Kerbog: Lord Darkar's favourite shadow bat and his loyal servant. Darkar sends him out to act as a spy and sometimes turns him into various creatures to further his nefarious schemes.
* The Infernal Mastiff: One of Lord Darkar's monster servants. Shaped roughly like a dog, with a coat of spines.
* Spit Monster: One of Lord Darkar's monster servants. Spit monsters can release a sticky tar-like saliva to trap their victims.
* Brute Monster: One of Lord Darkar's monster servants.
* Cave Spirits: Spirits said to live in Downland. They are the keepers of Downland, and if they get angry, they send out monsters.
* Wumble Worm: Worms that are said in Eraklyon to bring good luck to you, and the early bird gets to eat one.
* Guard Worm: A giant worm that lives in Downland and serves as its protector and bodyguard.
* Magi-Beavers: Beavers that live in Magix.
* Leodragerus: A dragon/lion creature said to be extinct. Lord Darkar created it from Kerbog to attack Redfountain. When defeated, it reverted back to Kerbog.
* The Angel of Doom: A legendary creature that is said to be a myth. He isolates the strongest of the group, and drains their powers. He disguises himself as a hero or paladin to gain trust. When the three planets align, he shows his true form and brings total destruction. Tecna believed that Professor Avalon was the Angel of Doom, but she was proven wrong in the end.
* Unnamed Shapeshifting Monster: This unnamed shapeshifting monster lives in the realm of Grim. It first appears to be a wolf-like creature with a right-side up head and an upside-down body, then it changes into a four-armed flying bug-like monster with claws. One was defeated with the converged powers of all six members of the Winx Club.
* Ice Snakes: Ice-breathing snakes that live in the Omega Dimension.
* Ice Spirits: Frozen spirits that live in the Barrier Mountains. They are the keepers of the Mirror of Truth.
* Kraken: A squid-like monster that lives in the underwater mermaid prison on Andros.
* Storm Harpy: A flock of them were created by Stormy when the Winx Club girls were visiting Linphea , Flora's realm.
* Giant Ladybug: In Linphea's City of Trees, where technology is forbidden, the Winx girls use giant ladybugs to move around. The ladybugs are intelligent and are able to obey commands.
