This is a list of national delicacies (also called kickshaws). This list is sorted from where the food originated from.
A delicacy is a food that is particularly prized within a given culture. Delicacies are often rare foods that are difficult to obtain or prepare, and as a result may only be served for special occasions. Often the rarity or difficulty to prepare a dish causes it to be comparatively expensive compared to other local foods.
Certain delicacies may be normal within one culture but seem bizarre to others.
