Lisle Teens with Character

Lisle Teens with Character (or LTWC) now in its 5th year, is a community service group based in Lisle, IL run by teens for teens. It helps teens gain community service along with building character. LTWC works with the LCCA (Lisle Character Counts Association) and the 6 pillars of Character Counts. Over the first 4 years, LTWC has volunteered over 11,000 hours of community service and has raised over $80,000 for charity. They have also won the Illinois Governor's Hometown Award in 2006. LTWC has been covered by the Chicago Tribune, , and is gaining more and more publicity.
Service Projects
Some of the charitable organizations and service projects that LTWC supports are:
*Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival
*Support Our Troops
*Bridge Communities/Sleep Out Saturday (helps homeless)
*Breaking Free (provides counseling for families in need)
*Feed my Starving Children (helps feed starving children in third world countries)
*River Sweep (help clean Lisle Community Park)
*Run for Education
*Relay for Life (American Cancer Society)
*Polar Express (give kids the feeling of being on the polar express)
*Lights of Lisle (lighting luminaria to be lined down Main St.)
