Dr. Lisa K. Fitzpatrick is an infectious diseases physician and CDC-trained medical epidemiologist. who is currently the Medical Director for Washington DC’s Medicaid program . Dr. Fitzpatrick has authored and peer-reviewed journal articles, has been featured in the The Washington Post, PBS, and TEDtalks and is a guest blogger for the Huffington Post. She earned a BA/MD at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health and is a professorial lecturer for the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is currently the Medical Director for Washington DC’s Medicaid program. She is also on the Advisory board for Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA).
