Lindsay Dawn Worsnop (born December 14, 1989) is an English woman from Leeds, Yorkshire who has become known for her size 13 UK feet (12.25 inches long). Lindsey, now fully grown, is 6 ft 6 in (198 cm) tall and is exactly the same height as her older brother Lee, but has bigger feet than her brother. Lee takes a size 12.
Lindsay has become something of a minor celebrity on several tall women websites and has been featured in lists of shoe sizes for tall women and various other newspapers.
Biography
When Lindsay was born in December 1989 she weighed 10 lb 7 oz and looked about six months old. At nine years old she was wearing hand-me-downs from her aunties who were in their twenties. A year later, when she was 10, her feet had grown to a size eight, as large as her mothers.
On February 19, 2006, she was featured in the Sunday Mirror's supplement magazine Celeb under the title ' My giant size 13 feet are still growing ', describing the disadvantages of finding shoes big enough to fit.
Lindsay also appeared on ITV's This Morning with Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield on 3 March 2006. The pair organised a makeover for Lindsey, which included new clothes and four pairs of shoes large enough to fit her.
Her mother Linda is 5 ft 11in (1.80 m). Her dad Clive is 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) and wears a size 11/12 shoe.
Growth trend
Lindsay is considered to be part of a growth trend that experts have been observing across the UK and in other prosperous Western countries. Experts say Britons generally are growing taller - at a rate of about 1 cm a decade - due to improved nutrition and better healthcare.
