LexAble develops assistive software to benefit people with dyslexia. LexAble aims to enable dyslexic people to achieve their full potential in school, university and the workplace. Description Founded in 2007 and based in Cardiff, UK, LexAble develops assistive software to benefit people with dyslexia in school, university and the workplace. Neil Cottrell is the director of LexAble. He is severely dyslexic and since the age of 10 he relied on a laptop with assistive software to cope with reading and writing at school and university. Despite his difficulties, he graduated from Cardiff University with a first class honours degree in psychology. LexAble contributes to the work of International Children's Care UK (ICC), relieving the hardship and distress of children all around the world. For every copy of its software sold, LexAble donates 50p to ICC. Products LexAble have developed Global AutoCorrect, a computer program for people with dyslexia. It allows user's ideas to flow by automatically correcting their spelling as they type in any program. It also acts as a learning tool, identifying the user's most common mistakes so that they can work on them in their own time.
