Leuricy can be described as utter absence of hurtful and ill intentions, and can be characterized by hospitality and a freedom from a cruel relationship.
Usage in philosophy and humanities On September 15th, 2008, the Ethics class at The Colorado Springs School read Philip Hallie's "From Cruelty to Goodness." In his essay, the author explained that the conventional antonym to cruelty, which is kindness, does not describe the complexity of a cruel relationship. Mr. Hallie decided that the real antonym to cruelty was "freedom from a cruel relationship." The class thought there needed to be one word to describe this definition. Therefore, the introduced antonym was leuricy.
