Leon Paulino

Leon Alberto Paulino (born November 15, 2000) is a Dominican-American professional baseball outfielder in the Boston Red Sox organization. Listed at 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) and 205 pounds (93 kg), he is a switch hitter and throws right-handed.
Career
Paulino born in Lowell, Massachusetts, was originally selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 23rd round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft out of Florida Virtual School. Growing up he was a Red Sox fan and became a switch hitter at 5 years old he mentioned to The Boston Globe and Boston 25 News WFXT. Being raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts Paulino was drafted by his hometown team. Before Getting drafted Paulino was committed to play baseball at Florida International University. Paulino was also ranked the 68th best high school MLB Draft prospect by Baseball Farm in there 2019 MLB Draft Top 100 HS Player Rankings and Positional Breakdowns. In 2019 Paulino was awarded 2019 PG Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams for the top senior athletes in high school baseball nationwide by Perfect Game. Getting Scouted in high school Paulino was Described as an athletic, switch-hitting outfielder with power and a rocket arm from the outfield. After Paulino got drafted he was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Red Sox stated in the Boston Magazine and played 25 games where he hit .153/.274/.208 with 4 doubles.
