Leon Fresco (born November 8, 1977) is an American Attorney from Miami, Florida. He is currently serving as Immigration Counselor for Senator Charles E Schumer at the United States Senate. Fresco graduated from Yale Law School in 2003. He was awarded the Charles G. Alborn Prize awarded to the student demonstrating the highest level of excellence in the areas of judicial and appellate advocacy in connection with the law school's clinical program. He was voted South Florida's Most Effective Pro Bono/Public Interest Lawyer for four consecutive years since 2006 by the South Florida Daily Business Review. Fresco is the recipient of the Steven M. Goldstein Award for Excellence from the Florida Bar Foundation for leading victorious litigation banning the use of chemical agents against mentally ill prisoners in Florida's prison system. He has written several publications on Immigration Law.
