Laura De Castro

Laura A. De Castro, is the current President of the North Carolina Federation of College Democrats. Ms. De Castro is serving her second consecutive term as President of the Federation. She is the former Chair of the College Democrats of America Hispanic Caucus. Ms. De Castro resides in her hometown of Charlotte, NC.

Ms. De Castro is the daughter of Columbian immigrants and prominent Democratic Party activists, Mr. German De Castro and Mrs. Olma Escheverri. Ms. De Castro attended Charlotte Catholic High School and will graduate from North Carolina State University in the spring of 2008.

Ms. De Castro is widely considered a possible candidate for President of the College Democrats of America in 2008.
