David Manaway (Born September 7, 1976) is an American businessman and Co-Founder of Oxypite Pty Ltd, and is also its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Early Years
David lived most of his life in Greensboro, North Carolina , where he attended Walter Hines Page High School. After matriculating from high school, David applied and was accepted to Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Instead of college David decided to join the United States Marine Corps. While serving his country he was meritoriously promoted in all of his ranks. After the Marine Corps, David moved back to Greensboro, North Carolina, were he held various jobs, before attending Guilford Technical Community College.
While studying David met his future wife, HRH Princess Zaziwe Dlamini of Swaziland , who was studying at Bennett College. HRH Princess Zaziwe Dlamini is the granddaughter of Former President Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela. Her uncle is King Mswati III, of the Dlamini house in Swaziland.
David and HRH Princess Zaziwe Dlmaini were convinced and assisted by Carl Ware to transfer to Atlanta, Georgia, were they finished their degrees at Clark Atlanta University, where Carl Ware was an alumni and board member.
Professional History
In 2001, Manaway moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, were he was one of the founding members of Chuma Holdings, a Black Economic Empowerment mining investment fund. The fund was established to invest and participate in the management of mining houses. Chuma Holdings went on the successfully acquire interest in Aquarius Platinum.
In 2008, Manaway went on to start with other partners Oxypite. A technology company that develops and service online casino games for operators in various licensed and regulated countries. In 2008, Oxypite joined forces with Ice Gaming, a European company that has years of experience in the online casino industry. This joint venture, has defined Oxypite, as one of the premiere software development companies for online casinos. Offering a full turn key solution to operators internationally. In 2008, Manaway was voted by the board and shareholders to hold the post as Chief Executive Officer of Oxypite (Pty.) Ltd, and Chairman of the Board.
In June of 2008, David help establish a investment group called Siyeza Holdings, backed by a group of international investors based, in Johannesburg, South Africa. This fund will invest and manage projects in Sub-Saharan Africa with interest in mining and energy projects. Currently, Manaway is a Non-Executive Director of the Board for Siyeza Holdings.
Awards/Recognition
Manaway attended the School of Business at Clark Atlanta University where he obtained a Bachelor of Administration in Marketing. Manaway has received various awards while serving in the United States Marine Corps: the Bosnian Liberation Medal; Mediterranean Expedition Medal; and two (2) Letters of Commendation from 2nd Mar Div Commanding General. David is an Executive Director and board member of Tuscaloosa 52. David is also a member of United Grand Lodge of England.
