Latoya Hanson

Latoya Hanson is a former member of the hip hop group Salt N Pepa. The group was formed in 1986. Hanson added legitimacy to the group by being a female DJ. Hanson was referred to as vicious and appeared on the cover on the debut album. Hanson was replaced as DJ Spinderella by Deidra Muriel Roper before Hot, Cool & Vicious became a hit, although she was featured prominently on the album's cover. Songs on the album included Tramp and Chick on the Side. Latoya was replaced in the year 1987. The reason was for missing shows and exhibitions. Latoya for a number of reasons was replaced by Roper (who at the time was a high school student). The stated reason was that Latoya was unreliable
. She would go on to take on the name "Da Original." She would go on to have a number of songs including I Don't Give A Damn (12") in 1993, Da Original / Furious Five* - Somebody Else / Sun Don't Shine In The Hood in 1994, and Club Crack (Whuteva) (12") in 2005.
