The Latin Areschart is the Latin America's newest music industry singles popularity charts issued weekly by Areschart. Chart rankings are based on radio airplay, vote, paid download or physic sales and P2P. The first number one song of the Latin Areschart was "Me Enamora" by Juanes on January 5, 2008, but the Areschart planed to release the hits list since 1999. As of the issue dated April 18 2009, the Latin Areschart has had 12 different number-one hits (one of which, "Sexy Movimiento" by Wisin & Yandel hit the top spot on two separate occasions). Its current number-one is "Que Te Queria" by La Quinta Estación. The artist with the most number-one singles are Juanes and Luis Fonsi with both two (since 2008). Juanes with the double hits "Me Enamora" and "Gotas de Agua Dulce"; and Luis Fonsi with "No Me Doy Por Vencido" and "Aqui Estoy Yo", wich features singers Aleks Syntek, David Bisbal and Noel Schajris from Sin Bandera. The most succesfull single since 2008 is Daddy Yankee's Pose, wich spent eight weeks at number-one and had had more then nine million points, even being the most succesfull song of 2008. The most succesfull act since 2008 are the duo Wisin & Yandel, having seven top-10 hits as of 2009 and accummulating aproximately thirty million points. System The tracking-week for sales begins on Monday and ends on Sunday; while the airplay tracking-week runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. A new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by Areschart on Thursday or Saturday. Each chart is dated with the "week-ending" date of the Saturday after. The Latin Areschart compiles data from United States, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Republica Dominicana, Panamá, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Perú, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and another countries and territories with spanish procedences. The points system of the Latin Areschart gives more confiability than other charts, and its style is based on the United World Chart, composed by a fourtenth slots list with the fourty most succesfull songs of every week. As of the week of February 14, 2009, the CEO of Latin Areschart, Harold Hidalgo, begun making a report for the week's music information and changes at the top spot, being published the same day that the list and posted on the Index page of the site.
