Billboard Philippines is not an official franchise of the United States' Billboard but, likewise in the United States, it also ranks the Hot 100 singles for a week based on radio airplays, music station requests and internet downloads. The first number one song of the Hot 100 was "Your Guardian Angel" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus on January 26, 2008. As of issued date, March 29, 2008, the Hot 100 has had five number-one hits. Its current number one is "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis. Hot 100 policy Pointing process Every Saturday, Billboard Philippines issued its weekly Hot 100. The points based on radio airplays, music station requests and internet downloads of the past seven days. After tabulating all the points will now rank the Hot 100. Remixes Remix version of a song is not considered as a different song, nevertheless, if the remix version gained points, the points will be added to the original version. This was the case of Janet Jackson's Feedback . Before peaking at #13 it highest peaked was #15 and was gradually falling of the charts, but since the release of the remix version of the song, which features the voice of Ciara, the song gained more radio airplays, that made the song peaked at #13 so far. The song is expected to hit the top ten for at least one week. Year End Charts Billboard Philippines "chart year" runs from the first week of January to the third week of December. Year end charts will be calculated by an inverse point system based solely on the song's performance on the Hot 100. For example, a song would be given one point for a week spent at position 100, upto 100 points for a week spent at number one. So far there's still no Year End Chart released. Billboard Philippines Music Awards Aside from the Year End Charts, Billboard Philippines Music Awards will also be an annual happening. Nominees and winners will be posted on Billboard Philippines' site. So far, there's still no Music Awards held. Nominations Any artist, local and foreign acts, who had have released at least one single for a given year is a bona fide nominee. Furthermore, these artists will be decrease only to five to become the official nominees of a certain award. A single and album released for a given year are all qualified to become a nominee but likewise on the artists' awards, there shall be only five official nominees. The Awards So far, 20 awards are to be given. Pointing A 50-50 pointing system between Billboard Philippines and its audience will be use for calculating the over-all points. Meaning, the people are free to choose who among the nominees is deserving for the title, but the peole's vote is only 50 percent of the final score, the other 50 percent will come to the Billboard Philippines. Results of the Year End chart will not be considered in choosing the winners. Winners List of the winners shall be posted on Billboard Philippines' site.
