Chile Hot 100

The Chile Hot 100 is a weekly-compiled musical chart that shows the top 100 songs in airplay and sales in Chile. The chart was first compiled in 2008 and it is considered (although, never announced) to be the Official Singles Chart in Chile.

The chart often favour Latin-american and Spanish, but many international artist have had a successful run in the chart and reached the top, for example Coldplay's Viva la Vida, which reached #9 in September 20 of 2008. The first non-spanish song to reach the top was Jonas Brothers' SOS, in May 4, 2008.. The first and only chilean artist to reach the top was Lucybell, with their song "Sur".

The artist with more weeks at #1, is Juanes, with Me Enamora, which stayed at #1 for 14 weeks, with a record of 9 consecutives weeks. Lucybell broke that record with the song "Sur", then Me Enamora topped the chart for another 5 weeks.

Althought is a blog, along with Top 25 Rock Chile, it has been considered as the Official Chilean Chart.

As of October 15, 2008 current number one is No Me Doy por Vencido, by Luis Fonsi.

Records

*Juanes has spent a total of 21 weeks at the top of the chart, with his songs Me Enamora and Gotas de Agua Dulce.
*Luis Fonsi's No Me Doy por Vencido has stayed for 8 consecutives weeks at #1, and is hoped that it will break the record of 9 weeks by Juanes.
*Lucybell was the first and only chilean act to reach the top, with their song "Sur", from their Primitivo EP.
