Lars Bendik Andersen (born October 1970), is a British businessman of Norwegian descent who founded My Nametags, a school uniform name label manufacturing company. He is the master of the Worshipful Company of World Traders and served as the master of Company of Entrepreneurs from 2020 to 2021. Andersen highlighted the costs of leaving the EU during the Brexit debate, acting as a witness to the UK Government's Treasury Committee, and speaking to Sir Keir Starmer in his factory in London. Education and career Andersen studied in France, graduating with a bachelor's in economics from the Université de Rouen (1993/96) and a master's from ESCP Business School (1993/96). He relocated to the USA and worked in technology M&A for the investment bank Jefferies. Moving to London, Andersen was appointed head of technology M&A group for Cavendish Corporate Finance and subsequently head of sales and marketing for Australia Mutual Provident (AMP). Andersen set up My Nametags in 2004, a company that makes iron-on and sticker name labels. The company received a in 2018. He is currently the chief executive of the company. Andersen was a founding member of Reading Credit Union (2006/08) which was later merged into Boom Community Bank. He was appointed chair of trustees for Odyssey Care Solutions for Today (2007/11), which merged with the Brandon Trust to provide support for those living with autism. Public life Civic service Andersen was the Master of the Company of Entrepreneurs for the year 2020/21. He is Master of the Worshipful Company of World Traders. Andersen is a Director of the Guild of Freemen of the City of London. He is influential in the City of London and has acted as the election agent for the following sheriffs of the City of London; Alderman Nicholas Lyons, Andrew Marsden, Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley DBE and David Chalk.
