Laris Gaiser (born June 7, 1977) is a geopolitical analyst expert in international scenarios, geoeconomy and NATO affairs, born in Ptuj, Slovenia and educated at the Universities of Verona and Cambridge. Specialized in International crisis management, he served as a political adviser and founded the Italian think tank "Il Telescopio". His thought is influenced by the realistic theories of Macchiavelli, Morgenthau, Kissinger and Jean. Defining himself as a visionary-realist, he supports the concept of Democracy as the new legitimating base of International Relations. A Fellow of Globis at the University of Georgia (Athens, USA), he is also a columnist of the Italian financial newspaper LiberoMercato and collaborates with the Slovenian newspapers Delo, Mag and Stajerski tednik.
