Lakotah Battle is a pop/rock singer-songwriter and musician. Born in New York, NY, she was exposed to music at a very young age. Growing up in a musical environment, Lakotah performed with her father and sisters. She began playing her first instrument, the piano, at age eight and shortly after learned how to play the guitar. Eventually, Lakotah found herself writing and composing her first song at the age of ten. After learning how to play various instruments, including the trumpet, Lakotah joined several jazz bands throughout high school. She wanted to take her music career a step further and ultimately landed herself in Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dreams. Her first album Shape Shifter was well-received as it attracted notable attention from many as well as Deluxe Records. There on, she formed the highly acknowledged alternative rock group known as The Deep Happy. The Deep Happy has opened for several popular musical talents such as Chris Issac, Wish Bone, and Medusa. In 2011, she performed in the PBS TV Special Baila!, starring David Longoria. Lakotah plans on releasing her debut solo album which includes her new single "Falling," on the Del Oro Music label, produced by Robert Eibach. Lakotah is praised for her diverse music productions and song-writing capabilities.
