Ladydust

'Ladydust' is an avatar figure coming from the ashes of Marina Tsigonaki. The initial inspiration for this name,came at first, from another avatar, this one of David Bowie's song: 'Ladystardust'. Actually, 'Ladydust' is the nickname for Marina Tsigonaki, -actress,jokey & radio producer, born in Athens, Greece. Marina started using this name in 2001 'affected' by some incidents which had to do with her personal life. She was recently the subject of the show "Stin Ygeia Mas" which aired on National Television.
She now (2010) has -under this nickname- appeared as a guest DJ all over Greece, her country and in big festivals (her sets have to do mostly with 'indie rock' music). In London as well. Ladydust also hosts a radio broadcast in Athens called :'Planet Ladydust'. Its playlists have a 'multinational taste' of the contemporary rock n' roll playground, having also references to the 60's, garage punk, hard rock, electronic scenery. Friday nights,22:30-24:00(Athens time).
Apart from the music activities, Marina has had parallel activities in the acting field (in the past,as well:in 'modeling' field Some highlights of her acting career: the leading role she had in clip shown in European & American MTV, in 'December riots' movie of J.Vorris, theatrical performances, TV serials,etc. As for modeling, campaigns like: 'prestige cosmetics','assos cigarettes', 'Cadbury chocolate' etc.
