Labour 2015

Labour 2015 is a centre-left campaign engine that is unofficially affiliated to the UK Labour Party. As of 16 May 2011, it is seeking official affiliation to the Labour Party after reaching a membership base of over 2500 individuals. Founded by Liam Young, a young member of the Labour Party, in October 2010, the page has attracted many people from within the political demographics. Members range from the far-left to the centre-right. Young claims that through its campaigning it has boosted the Labour Party's support by 10% taken from the Liberal Democrats.
The page names itself a campaign by the people, of the people, for the people. It is currently running a consultation paper that will be sent to the UK Labour Party as it submits its request for affiliation. To date, 3 June 2011, Labour 2015 Facebook page has 2668 "likes".
Left-wing remarks
The page reports in its findings that over 70% of its members would like to see the Labour Party turn more left-wing. However, the page continues to promote itself as a centre-left organisation. After being submitted to tests, Labour 2015 says the figure is more like 50%, seeing an even split of members that are either centre-left or left-wing.
Centre-left founding
It is important to note however that Labour 2015 is a centre-left organisation, it is also one that is inclusive of the whole Labour Party range. Even though some members may be very left-wing, it will continue to be a mainstream and inclusive political organisation.
