Kyu Lee (Korean: /Lee Kyu Chang) (born December 30, 1978 in Seoul, South Korea) was an American football wide-receiver for the Washington Huskies of the NCAA Pac-10 Conference. He was the first Korean-born player at the University of Washington. Personal Kyu Lee... left Seoul, Korea at the age of 2... raised on Mercer Island, WA, a suburb just outside of Seattle, WA. Lee was a walk-on for the 1999-2000 University of Washington football team, becoming the first Korean-American to play for the Huskies under Coach Rick Neuheisel, current head coach at UCLA. Lee graduated in 3 years with a degree in Business and Drama. Upon graduation from the University of Washington, Lee landed an assistant position at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) in Culver City, CA. During his time at SPE, Lee has worked in Creative Advertising for the Columbia Pictures Marketing Group and held the post of Executive Assistant to Jeff Blake, Vice-Chairman of SPE and Chairman of Columbia Pictures Motion Picture Group. Lee also played an instrumental roll in the theatrical and home entertainment acquisition of the Korean Box-Office hit : THE BROTHERHOOD OF WAR, directed by Kang Je-gyu released in the US in 2005. Currently, Lee oversees International Exhibitor Relations for Sony Pictures Releasing International and specializes in producing and acquiring projects in Korea and Japan. He created SevenAlley, an online Christian network which reaches out to Korean-Americans in the arts and entertainment. Kyu Lee resides in Los Angeles, California.
