</noinclude> Kuruthi Pookkal () is an upcoming Tamil romantic thriller film written, produced and directed by Mani Ratnam which stars Karthi in the lead role,Aditi Rao Hydari in the female lead,A R Rahman will be composing the music for the lyrics by Vairamuthu and Karky while Ravi Varman handles the camera and Mu. Kasi Vishwanathan handles the edting. Cast * Karthi * Aditi Rao Hydari Production after success of O Kadhal Kanmani (alias OK Kanmani) Mani Ratnam announced another romance film but this time he decide make film like Roja. Roja is cult film and A. R. Rahman debut in this film while he won National Film Award for Best Music Direction, the first time ever by a debutant. so it a romantic thriller film from Mani Ratnam casting Karthik male lead role in this film and Karthik is associate of Mani Ratnam while in Aaytha Ezhuthu. Aditi Rao Hydari selected for Karthik is pair replace of Premam fame Sai Pallavi crew Mani Ratnam's regular collaborators, composer A. R. Rahman would also work on the film. it is first time for Ravi Varman hanled the cinematography for Mani Ratnam film, Ravi Varman already work with Mani Ratanam film as associate cinematographer of Ravi K. Chandran in Kannathil Muthamittal and Aaytha Ezhuthu.
