Kosmosnimki (Satellite Images) — is a web-based project of . The aim of the project is to create a mosaic of satellite imagery covering the entire Russian territory. Site New.Kosmosnimki The images that make up the map range from 1m to 6m resolution, and can be seen at different scales, from large territories to streets and buildings. Currently, you can obtain GPS waypoints, measure distance and area, as well as search the map using town name (in Russian only.) Future Plans The main goal of the project is to encourage widescale use of satellite imagery. At the next stage of the project, the user will be able to purchase images online.
